Easily my favourite game. Amazing music, voice acting, dialogue, gameplay, visuals. The difficulty curve is weird yet works perfectly. It starts hard and progressively gets easier. Then later in the game the player can adjust that difficulty themselves by giving enemy buffs that also increase rewards which provides for endless hours of end game content (which is done so well).

The game's accessibility settings allow those who may struggle with the game to enjoy the really well-written story and characters.

This game got its 'Game of the Year' titles for a reason. The game jumps into gameplay really quickly and within the first 2 hours you get a really good idea of how the game will play from a fundamental perspective. I highly recommend that if you're uncertain but interested, and the barrage of other positive reviews haven't convinced you, give the game a try and refund it if you don't enjoy that first 2 hours.
