So much yes.

Fixed most of my issues with the series. Now we get events to spice it up, artifacts to use, hyperlanes to build.

The map being larger is my favorite part, I know some people don't like it. Personally I always found vanilla GalCiv to be too clustered together. Space isn't like that. Now the map feels like space, and is harder and easier to defend. Harder because more places to defend, easier due to hypergates and longer range to see fleets coming.

All in all its worth every penny.

Finally feels like a complete fixed game with the opt-in patch.

The numbers ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING NOW.

I have a lot of fun with this game, if you like Stellaris and the like you will enjoy this game. You won't spend as many hours in it as that'n, but it is WELL worth the entry price.

Good God I have not played a 4x game with more infuriating combat.

The numbers MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I have gone into battle with double their attack and defense in exactly the opposite beam/projectile setup to counter them and still get clapped. Hard. Lost all ships and they lose 1. It is that terrible.

Avoid this like covid. Such a beautiful game with so much potential brought low by by combat design. There are probably mods to fix it but what is the point in that.

This game will eat your life and make you think of everything in terms of supply chains. Big time tetris effect. But it's worth every second. Love the 1.0 additions, it definitely feels like a complete game, but they are already working on the next update. Definitely one of the most dedicated Devs I have seen.

105 hour update: Pure bliss, no other factory game competes. Never experienced a single bug, ever. Not a single game crash, ever. Whatever these Devs put out from now on, I will get just to support them, even if that makes me a fanboy.

Amazing sequel. Greatly improved upon the first game, and will eat days of your life.

Intervention armies are pain the first few times you go against them, but once you get into a habit of building garrison buildings in every settlement, it becomes almost too easy to kill the intervention and chaos armies.

On the flip side of that, the AI has been vastly improved. I get declared war upon quite often, while in the first it was rare if ever to happen.

Now has workshop, a lot of the WH1 mods are already on there. Love that. Modders for this game are busting their butts right now.

This review is not even counting the coming combined map, which will be a huge boon to this game. 9/10

Servers are in an unstable and unusable state, yet they are selling it specifically as "revamped and working multiplayer" Do not pay these scummy GoG devs for doing nothing and trying to sell an old, product that is untouched contrary to the lies of the "devs". I have just applied for a refund, I suggest all others do the same.

To give a little background on my review, I am an avid Total War fan having played every single one since the first Shogun when I was 11. They are my bread and butter when it comes to gaming. That being said, I have been really let down as of late when it comes to Total War games. Atilla and Rome 1 and 2 never captured me and held my attention. Shogun 2 was the last GREAT Total War game. It kept me gripped for days to finish a campaign, only to rush back and play the same faction to try and beat my old time. I don't normally replay games, so you can see why I hold such things at a high premium.

Then comes along Warhammer. I adore this game. It brings back the same feeling of firing up a game to quickly play a few turns only to lose half a day and not regret a thing. To top it all off, Warhammer 2 is confirmed to integrate all the content from this game that you own into it..... talk about not losing any investment. ONE MORE MONTH TO GO!

amazing game. only ww2 strategy game I can recommend these days, although the dlc is still typical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paradox prices.

look up how to do supply if you have any issues, green supply solves everything.

Graphics are top notch, they look amazing on my 1060. Definitely one of the prettiest games I have played in months.

Gameplay is what keeps me coming back, for 40 or less dollars, depending on sales, you get all the ships. So you are pretty spioled for chouce right from the beginning. The ships all play very differently, too, which is a lot of fun.

My one problem with it right now is the captures of home bases are waaaaaay too fast. Unless you have the fastest ships in the line you cannot dream of jumping back in time before 3 people cap your base. A lot of really fun close games ended in a scummy-feeling loss in 5 seconds. I know you should always jump back as soon as they are capping a side-base, but getting enough people to do that is almost impossible.

They need to rebalance the capture speed to be in tune with the speed of the ships, as in double the length of time, maybe even 4x the time that it is now to capture a base.
