Be upset about the micro-transactions all you want (they're not even that egregious) - if you want to play blood bowl online, right now, against a human, this is your game. FUMBBL is great but everyone is extremely experienced, and FUMBBL isn't even official.

If you have an acute obsession with the exact combination of the following:

- hex and counter wargaming
- 4X mechanics
- NATO unit symbology
- a propensity to read 300+ page field manuals
- 1998 UI designs

this game is 100% for you.

Bottom line up front: Paradox already made buckets off of everyone that has bought this game, and they really don't care about the state of the game. This is an MVP; the execs know it (and don't care), the product owners know it but pushed for something half decent, the devs know it and are slaved with work, and the playtesters know it sucks. We'll only start getting quality games at launch when people stop pre-ordering/buying them at launch.

The game is fun, but too easy. XCOM but the aliens are Italians is perfect, except the Italians are fat and weak. The game has long-term potential, but the economy isn't thought out and the fights are too easy. There's so much that could be had with the alcohol procurement/delivery process, but instead there's a shell of a system there. Additionally, I was really hoping to be able to customize the different rackets, but instead it's a phone-game-esque "upgrade this but oh wait you can rush it immedately for .5x!' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. And why bother since you can just take something else over in 10 minutes with little combat skill.

The game was certainly released too early--but all the negative reviews surprised by that shouldn't be. This is, after all, a Paradox game, and this has been their M.O. since Stellaris originally launched (if not before then). It will eventually become a strong game.

To the Zoomers giving negative reviews that never installed Star Wars X-Wing from a floppy disk and dreamed of a game like this as a small child--get over your personal problems, this game is amazing.

A fresh take on the genre with some interesting economic systems. Needs some polishing, and definitely needs signals added, but is very fun in current state.

Fun, casual game that has great potential. Unlike most of the negative reviews, who gives a fat ♥♥♥♥ about XP and win/loss in casual. The core mechanics of the game are engaging and interesting.

This is an excellent game for the $10 price range. Steady fixes have only made the game better.
