9 years later, this game still rules. Looks great, plays great, sound design is incredible. Many full servers as of time posting this review, may have to wait 5 or 10 minutes to get into a full server but it's worth it.

Unreal. Instant classic. Delivers on every aspect. Deserves every single award and the choruses of praise, and then some.

Fantastic. Great music, extremely fun loop that doesn't persist for too long, with levels structured in a way that it feels possible to dig out of a bad deck. I've had several wins where it felt nearly hopeless mid-game, but allowed to cleverly strategize yourself out of an overwhelming horde of enemies.

Soundtrack is excellent, the whole HellOS or whatever is fun. Lots of heart, challenge, and artistic vision baked into this game. Well worth the price.

All-time classic.

This is a great retro-feeling RPG. A lot of these negative reviews are really weird and baseless and totally disregard the design choices of this entry - like a lot of these are positives for me. No waypoint on the map, you have to use geographic/geologic landmarks. No quest marker, you actually have to read the quests to determine where to go, and no fast-travel makes you explore the world. These are immersive design choices, not a malicious exploit to pump up game time metrics, frustrate you, or as a personal slight... The terminally-online cynicism has prevented legions of people from just enjoying things.

Music is fun, classes are classic, gameplay is simple and straight forward but skills allow some really interesting and fun game play. The itemization is deep enough to be interesting, but not so deep where you are spending a long time reviewing items. Plenty of side quests, things to craft, potions to make, and systems to break for god-mode.

Hard is HARD, I would recommend starting on normal until you understand some mechanics.

Multiplayer saves are MULTIPLAYER SAVES, which is EXACTLY how these types of multiplayer games HAVE ALWAYS WORKED. People thumbing the game down for NOT UNDERSTANDING SAVE-GAME MECHANICS THAT HAVE EXISTED FOR LITERALLY 25 YEARS are the reason online-reviews should have a writing and reading comprehension exam before posting. Host machine retains the save file. How is this so difficult to understand?

Lots of fun, but totally unsupported and unfinished. No active players at all, so be prepared to need two licenses and a buddy to play.

Unsupported, no updates or news in 18 months. Unfinished and janky product. This is an inspiration to every arm chair developer out there: you too can release an incomplete and poorly designed game, probably turn a profit, and disappear into the void never to be seen again (hopefully, along with all of your work).

Unreal. Play this. All the hits, all the monsters, all the classic RE camp.
