Another fantastic Hazelight experience! Not much to say here; expect a charming co-op game with inventive gameplay and a story that's both shlocky and cliche, but also emotional and fun.

Both funny AND unsettling, which is a personal favorite vibe. Showcases a bleak world that's fascinating to learn more about. Haven't finished the DLC yet but it's fun as well!

I greatly recommend playing with friends! Bouncing off theories and thinking about it together is super fun.

Each of these as a single game are solid puzzle games with enriching stories. I can't say much bad other than some slight, SLIGHTLY dull parts in 2 (in my opinion). Three of my favorite games.

As a full trilogy, this is one of the greatest stories ever told with incredible recollection of its own events, and wraps up every plot point perfectly.

My favorite game in the series is 4, but 3 is a very close second and this trilogy DELIVERS. I can't recommend it enough.

From what I've played, it's pretty accurate to the original while adding a lot of QoL and cute additions!

My favorite new addition are the EXTREMELY improved survivors. While escorting and not being eaten alive, they'll make comments about the area and may give tips. And with better pathing, I have a lot less trouble escorting them.

My main two negatives so far are small ones. First, I noticed quickly that the loading screens are very minimalist, with only the time and a loading bar. This is fine and can actually dramatize the tense moments when you might be late to save somebody, but I prefer the photos and film reels of the original. The second is the modern controls, which are ALMOST perfect. However, I wish there were a way to use Dead Rising 2: OTR's camera controls (aim down sides + right bumper), because I'd love to use the bumpers to switch weapons, but don't want to deal with the original game's terrible roll input. (not hard, just annoying)

Even with those small issues, I've gotten used to the D-pad for switching pretty quick, and all the new additions have me smiling and enjoying this return to Dead Rising 1. I hope this game will bring us to a new era of the series that sticks to the charm of the first and second game!

I have not yet completed the DLC, maybe I’ll edit this later.

This is basically a brand new game. I’m having a blast returning to the game’s mechanics with new weaponry. And just like the base game, I get a huge smile while exploring and discovering new places and things.

The difficulty feels harder than base game, but not to an unfair degree. The first big boss I fought kicked my butt until I relaxed and got back into the movement. And there are plenty of items to strengthen yourself as you explore, so be sure to look around!

I still can’t believe how good this is; I wish everybody an excellent adventure in the Realm of Shadow!

A love letter. Not only to the Runner games, but to the entire bit.trip series. This game is nothing but good times. No matter how many times we fall (or bonk) we can always get up, try again, and eventually succeed. :)

Okay, so I need it to be clear that this review is not ironic, as the game may give that impression.

This game rocks.

Outside of the game's fun comedy and writing, I have adored exploring the world so much. One moment I'm in a relaxing market selling water, and an hour later I'm completing a resident evil styled dungeon with puzzles and satisfying progression. For the price asked, this is one of the best purchases on Steam.

I've been streaming the game to some friends while I play and they seem to agree: This game is fantastic, and if the appearance of it puts you off, ignore that for a bit and have some fun. I don't think you'll regret it.

This game is everything I wanted and more! It has the usual highs and lows of a modern FromSoft game: I think the combat, bosses, and world design are masterclass, but PvP still holds little interest for me. Dueling is very fun, but invasions feel less like a tough enemy and more like a roadblock, due to players finding many unfair advantages. I usually play offline so this doesn't affect me much, but it's worth noting, and may not bother everyone. Back to positives; I found myself gasping and in awe of many moments, both in story and exploration. There are many times you'll be stunned by what you find.

For what's new, the open world is excellent! With plenty to explore and delve, you'll often find new things every few minutes of roaming. I've beaten the game twice and have been doing a third run, and even now I'm still finding some new catacombs to deal with! It's wild. I say this as someone who isn't a fan of large, open worlds.

Once you find a big dungeon, the layout will feel a lot more like what you're used to with Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Those genius Sonic The Hedgehog-style layouts; shortcuts and secrets all over that help you find new stuff to help you, or maybe get you through faster, which are VERY satisfying to use in repeat playthroughs.

Some may not find the game as replayable as other FromSoft games, but I think with knowledge from previous playthroughs, you can still quickly accomplish stuff that used to take a while. Not to mention how many weapons and ways to fight there are; you will likely not see everything the game has to offer on a first playthrough, and I think it's better that way. More to find later! Personally I recommend your first playthrough be blind with looking little up, but I don't judge those who wish to find everything the first time around.

Last point is on difficulty. There has been discussion whether these games need easy mode or not. I'm in the middle on this. I think the game would not be ruined with the prospect, but I also think the game has enough mechanics to not need it. With summons, ranged combat, and some skills that evade better than the standard roll, most can overcome the challenges the game offers after some rough bumps! And the game is quite forgiving with your time usually. There are much more checkpoints than previous FromSoft games, and quests are generally easier to follow and harder to fail.

I recommend this big time!!

One of the most creative battle royales out there, and I highly recommend it! My only complaint is a few of the rounds feel too luck-based, such as Tip Toe and Lost Temple. These rounds shouldn't be removed, but rather need heavy adjustments.
