Is it me, or did this game suddenly get trading cards? I just got them after almost two years of not playing lol

The game says that gamepad is not supported. The thing is - this is a steam deck, i can't turn off it's buttons, and even with disabled steam input i'm unable to use mouse since the game always see a connected gamepad and every time i move my mouse it will be deleted from the screen, only keyboard works properly, but unfortunately, this is not a deal...

I heard about it, and sent Tabitha out to go see if it was real, and it was, but is it a red herring or will it be possible to reach it at some point? I feel like I could maybe speed boots into a mountain at the right angle to make it out there but I also think the game trigger kills you if you're just too far into the ocean.....

First of all I saw a streamer playing and he couldn't get into the chateau until graduating. I never had that and just walked right in. I solved my way to the boss room but there have been no enemies and there's nothing in the boss room at all. Did I sequence break the game or is there something I'm missing....
