I've changed this review from Negative to Positive after revisiting the game 2 years later.

This game has improved a lot over the years, it has received huge amounts of content and has turned into an amazing game over time and recently they stopped the absolute insanity they had going on with HITMAN 1/HITMAN 2 and the very confusing, convoluted and worst solution possible you could come up with to try to merge it all into 1 game, but at the same time not, but also kinda... look, it just didn't make any sense.
They've now finally fixed this by changing HITMAN 3 into HITMAN World of Assassination and de-listing HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 from sale and once and for all finally combining all the games in a non-confusing way.

The game has a huge amount of content now, compared to when I first reviewed close to its release when it had maybe 5-6 hours worth of content.

The gameplay is very smooth and satisfying.

The systems they've added/improved upon like Contracts, Elusive Targets and Arcade are all fun and addicting and great solutions to keep the game fresh with new content all the time.

As a side-note:

VR is garbage, horrible controls and movement. Do not buy this if you're looking for a good VR experience.

Single-player game, requires internet to play.
