Everyone would agree this is an homage to the JRPG genre of the late nineties and early 2000s, but what it does differently, what it does especially well, is bringing all the best elements of those classics into a beautiful and touching story and melding it with satisfying combat and movement mechanics that allow for a type of constant puzzling. For those discovering the genre there is lots to love and adore. For those whose focus is on the story, there is a story mode. And finally, for those who want a bit of a challenge and tight timing, there's a 'hard mode.' Even if you don't have fond memories of Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy, etc. there is something for you to love.

Just like the classic with an improved translation that loses little, if any, of the original Woolsey charm and updated 16bit graphics with a nod to the Mode7 of the SNES/Super Famicom. Definitely worth the purchase if you are a fan of the game or enjoy classic JRPGs.

Fun, addictive and deeper than you think

If you like Diablo-esqe top down hack and slash dungeon crawling then this is definitely your game. It also has elements of bullet hell and huuuuuuuge upgrade trees. They're really getting a lot right with this game.

Fantastic, immersive and funny are the first words that come to mind about this game.

Excellent gameplay, cute characters and fantastic replayability are the highlights of the base version of Armello. I adore this game and you will too if you like board-style table top-ish games
