Amazing spin on an old classic. Love the coop mode.

Having a blast - it scratches my DRG itch (voice lines are the same, and the game is well polished).

Brotato but with dwarves. Weapons/classes need a bit more balance - I'm struggling to complete hazard 2 with some. Looking forward to the updates, and hoping they add coop mode.

Helps kill time on flights. Also, you're a potato.

Edit: I just want to add that the Discovery Tour mode is incredible! Original review below.

Have completed all the AC games (other than Unity and Rogue, and some spinoff Chronicles titles), and thought the franchise was doomed. I am pleased to have been proven wrong. The story is decent, and side quests are no longer fetch this, liberate that, save a fourth, stab a fifth. They can even span multiple regions - I helped out some kids in Giza (might be some other region, I don't remember), and then sent them to Memphis. A few hours later I ventured into Memphis to continue the main quest, and found myself face to face with the kids I helped, and they remembered me (even giving me a nickname)! I just felt obliged to help them again at that point, so I did another side quest. I'm not a completionist, but I have a feeling that I'll be doing a lot more of these side quests, just because they're so memorable and entertaining.

Also, quite a few snobby brats are complaining that this won't run on their insane 7.0GHz, 1024GB RAM, with an SLI setup of a dozen GTX1080s. I can run this on Very High at ~60fps on an i7-6700K, 16GB RAM, XFX RX480; and everything looks amazing. But then again, I'm not gaming on a 4k 144hz 60inch TV, so I might be missing out.

Either way, still worth checking out, in the past 75 hours or so, I have:
  1. [Killed / Gotten killed by / Run away from] a variety of wildlife (you get an achievement for running away from a hippo 3 times).
  2. Tamed a crocodile (guards killed it later).
  3. Tamed a lion, set him up on a date with a crocodile, he defeated the croc, but then a ship sunk my boat. Together with my kitty. RIP my Leo (11/24/2017 2:55 AM - 11/24/2017 3:02 AM).
  4. Saved a few pets.
  5. [Stabbed / Punched / Shot] enemies.
  6. Pushed enemies into water (some NPCs can finally swim!).
  7. Set enemies on fire.
  8. Set myself on fire (seriously, don't smash an oil pot with your torch).
  9. [Saved / Killed] a few people.
  10. Made love.
  11. Almost slept with Cleopatra.
  12. Toured Alexandria as Cleopatra.
  13. Flew an eagle.
  14. Fought a god after being empowered by another god.
  15. [Crafted / Dismantled] a bunch of stuff.
  16. Taken a load of pictures (check out my screenshots!)
  17. Climbed a load of buildings (I mean this is AC, what did you expect).
  18. Explored the Pyramids.
  19. Hallucinated.
  20. Stargazed.
  21. Gotten high on some ancient potion.
  22. Gotten saved by my eagle from a snake (this wasn't a cutscene - it was in game, during combat, my eagle just swooshed in and took out a snake I hadn't noticed).
  23. Taken a bath.
  24. Raced in the hippodrome (this is painful, and I wish they didn't give you steam achievements for this, I don't want to do this again).
  25. Gotten buried in the sand.
  26. Lost a finger (this is not a spoiler, Altair was missing a finger, this explains the tradition).
  27. Battled at sea.
  28. Investigated.
  29. Fought a variety of ancient egyptian gods.
  30. Learned a fun fact about Alexandria that I think is going to stick with me for a while.
- etc. (this list is getting too long, but I can occasionally add to it if people are interested).

Don't play this game if you have a history of heart disease in your family.

A mix of the movies Gladiator and King Arthur with the hack 'n' slash and QTEs of God of War/Dante's Inferno with Crysis-like graphics.

Quick time events can be frustrating especially if you're trying to get all the achievements, but that is redeemed by incredible graphics.

Get it on sale as the gameplay can be quite repetitive.

This game is incredible. I am sitting here overwhelmed and awestruck, having just finished the game.
An extremely touching story of two brothers who go out of their way to save their father. My new favorite game.
P.S.: Play it together with someone for an even better experience. Controller is not required (will probably make controls easier though since it does say that the game was designed for a controller), I beat it using a keyboard.
