This game actually works! Sad thats a selling point these days but I have yet to have any major problems performance wise with it aside from a single crash I'm convinced was just my driver's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out (AMD sucks for GPUs, go NVIDIA. CPUs are AMDs playing field though.)

Gameplay is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing imo. You actually have to progress through different levels and advance the story a bit to grow stronger and get better gear so on top of the decisions you make in the story missions and side quests you complete, it actually feels like the world you are playing in is growing as you play! My only gripes about gameplay are some basic bugs here and there mainly the Howlers at night spawning in and seeming like theyre all there until you go to attack one just to find that he's ghosted and wont move, howl, nothing. Now you're getting gang banged by the 6 other zombies right next to him and the Howler across the street noticed you and is actually spawned in. Also I venture into dark zones only every so often but it feels that if you actually want to have a reliable amount of crafting materials, then its encouraged a little too harshly to go into those zones even if you're buying the vendors crafting mats every time you bump into one. I feel there's also a basic variety of mutated biter types but it's still in its launch phase so this is all understandable and expected.

I feel all these issues can easily be fixed through some bug patches, balancing, and DLC expansions that connect to the main world unlike DL1 where you found an item and traveled to a separate worldspace entirely.

My only request for this game (and hopefully not just a pipe dream) is that if we get a story DLC of some kind in the future that takes us back to Harran as the Fall happens, we get to see what happened to Crane. He's mentioned every so often in DL2 as the hero of Harran he is and is said to have died but I refuse to accept that he turns into a sentient volatile like The Mother and just dips on his friends and the people he's saved in Harran. The last we see of him is him freaking out over what he has become as the sun rises then boom. Credits. ITS BEEN KILLING ME SINCE I FINISHED IT! I want to know more "Epics of Harran" for how character fared after the credits rolled in the first game. It has so much potential its unreal. Worst case, give us a "EoH" mission where we play as Gazi. I wouldn't even be mad at that point.

Events are fun to do, CAMP building is a good way to pass time and combat is a repetitive mess awaiting a rebalance. We're getting there but i do recommend this game if you need something to play or are a fallout fan that has been waiting for it to become better than the release cluster ♥♥♥♥ it was (Kind of is but meh. subjective.)

The Short: This game is ever changing and as dynamic as possible but it comes with its set of flaws like any other online game. Despite flaws, it is WEEEEELLLL worth $20 if you plan on being an active player and participating in the war. Not worth $20 just to troll and minge a team.

The Long: The game in question is very fun to play. Personally i love raining death with howitzers, morters, and the such. But this game has its problems. First off the amount of freedom you gave the players in order to make the war as realistic as possible is both amazing and extremely posionous for the game. There are a number of people that tend to come onto servers, teamkill, troll, and generally ruin everyone else's hard work making a number of real players say screw it and drop out for the rest of the war. This is obviously a major problem. The amount of freedom you have granted us has gave way to an absurd amount of problems. One solution, while many may not like it including the devs, is to hire moderators or admins to help make sure everything runs smoothly and fairly in a war. Of course i can see higher pop servers being favored here but that would be part of the idea. I mean it is a large scale war game after all. It would attract all the real players to that server if they knew there were admins on that were moderating things and getting rid of people who spent 20$ to act like a tard and a half. I haven't been on the recieving end of any trolls or minges but i have seen plenty of it happen and spoken to a number of people about the subject.

On another note i would like to mention organization for others looking into this game. Generally in a war on your side you will find a number of people playing different roles. The videos called them things like "Combat Engineers" and the likes. Every one of the Logistics roles is just as important as every possible combat role. Let me break down the basics for ya:

COMBAT

Combat Member
Role: Make the enemy dead
How: Formulate strategys with the other soldiers around you in order to make an effective push on the enemy. Destroy foxholes so that builders can follow up behind and advance the front. Also able to form own squads for things like APC raids, Artillery barrages, Patrols, Position Defense Units, Etc...

Medic
Role: Heal and preserve your mate's lives
How: Using medical products (Duh)

LOGISTICS RELATED ROLES

Quarter Master
Role: Lead the logistics team and make sure the right items end up in the right places
How: Coordinate with logistics members to make sure that scrap and other raw materials are proccessed and base materials are sent to the proper factories to be made into things for the war.
[Note: There is usually only one of these however i feel that if there was one per town with the HQ Quarter Master presiding over all, things would go a lot smoother. Also Logistics members should ALWAYS follow orders from the QM (s) no matter what!]

Logistics Transport
Role: Take a truck and get resources, Products, and troops from point A to point B
How: Follow the QM's orders and pay attention to requests in the chat from towns and FOBs. Use a truck to get around and carry more.

Builder
Role: Go out to the front and create + maintain defenses and weapons to help your team advance on the enemy.
How: Get resources, travel to front lines, begin pushing up with combat units making sure to build foxholes and other defences wherever youre able to fit one.

Factory Worker
Role: Operate a factory for the Logistics Team
How: Pick a factory to work at and pay attention to town/FOB requests and try to meet them. Then use transport members to send the products where they need to go. Vehicle Manufacturing is also key to accomodate for lost, destroyed, or needed vehicles.

Gatherling [MOST IMPORTANT ROLE OF WHOLE WAR]
Role: Gather resources for logistics to create things for the front
How: Locate Scrap, Sulfure, Refined Material, and gas nodes and mine them with a hammer to collect Raw Materials. Sulfur is used in explosives and the likes while Scrap is used for Basic Materials. Gas is used for vehicles obviously and refined materials are used for upgrades and other high tier items/buildings. You are the very back bone of the whole team you side with. Many servers do not have enough Gatherlings and fall shourt on supplies.

Closing- Foxhole, despite its flaws in the community, is a very unique game to play and a very fun team based war game. I give it a solid 84/100. However, this game is constantly being updated with many updates marked for future dates. I cant wait to see what happens next ^-^

This game was good at first and i will continue to play it however there is so much wrong with the game since i bought it befoer the split, its not even funny. Between the deaf devs, bugs, ♥♥♥♥ ed melee system, and hacker rampage, i have no idea whats worse. On top of that, NOBODY CAN GET LOOT SPAWN RIGHT WHEN ITS SO EASY TO FIND!!! What i mean by that is not that loot is scattered in unrealistic places (its actually gotten better at theat) what i mean is that there is either TOO MUCH or TOO LITTLE loot. While some say i shouldnt be complaining, its great while there is an abundance of loot, then for another 4 months theres not even a shirt or bullet to be found and everything is just plain miserable.

Next issue that i have: Ease of server types (if that makes any sense)
For Pvp to be fun you need to have a group of friends to play with in order to base or else you have 5 guys roll up on your little shack with 20 IEDs' and blow your home to smitherines after gunning you down. On top of that, people want to promote "Be the good, generous player in pvp! Dont KOS!" yada yada hippie ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Pvp is sadly kill or be killed in player on player interactions and tbh thats a really bad community and all the snobbish ♥♥♥♥♥ go there to play. You die and you get mocked by the 14 year old drinking mtn between mouthfuls of doritos. Sadly the only way to fix this is for every player to become more friendly in player on player interactions however thats never going to happen because of the social ♥♥♥♥ storm that the pvp community has sank into. Pve is the complete opposite however there need to be more zombies to make it a bigger challenge.

This game may have a mixed review BUT DONT TURN BACK JUST YET!!! This game has provided somewhat endless fun (and terror) for me. While i may have only played by myself for 22 hours, the game still provides what the description says. I find myself freaking out when im simply running from one safezone to another to calm my nerve because you never know whats up ahead or what you accidentaly walked past. This game would be much better to play with friends where you can join a tribe and war against others but it is still simple fun when you are on your lonesome. I will say this: Combat takes some getting used to!

Pros:
Works well on computers that can barely run next gen games
Custom servers owned by players
Partial explanations for pre-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Crazy creatures that try to rape you at any chance
Many weapons
No more micro transactions
Current development after 1 year absence
Half of the players on a pvp server are NOT kos
Pure terror when you hear nethers shout their battle crys even when its a simple crawler
Melee is amazing. You feel pure joy after killing your first golem with a melee weapon UNDER 350 dmg
------------------
Cons:
You can sneak past nethers as if they were blind (Press Z and pray) ((I secured a safezone by crawling the entire time as lvl 3 with no sneak skills))
Incomplete Explanations to some to most places (Thoughts on body piles would be nice)
Hard to aquire guns
No seperate sound sliders

Please remember that this is from what I experianced in the game at 25.2 hours. If you think dif, Leave your own review and dont bother me lol

Also for those that have played this and the Metro series, do you think crawlers should sound like the hounds from Metro? It would seem so fitting and perfect X3

I have but one problem with the game: It feels as if you revamped the graphics beyond your recommended hardware specifications. I was able to play the game smoothly before and damn was it fun but now when i try to run it, it lags to death even with lowered settings. Thats my personal issue though so if you feel your computer can handle it, get the game because it is well worth its price.

This game is amazing. i do feel that it needs an official multiplayer thingy though. i do not like having to use hamachi or evolv to play with friends but the official lan is not enough. also if this could possibly be playable on linux, that would be amazing
