A nice, solid 4x with some good, innovative additions to the genre.

Large maps get a little bogged down, but optimization is something they're working on.

Biggest annoyance so far has been the UI glitching out sometimes in large battles requiring me to kill the game and retake the turn.

Devs released a nice bug fix patch within a few days of launch, all while being extremely responsive in the forums and to bug report emails, so the future looks promising.

As an ESDF gamer, this is unplayable. 2 years of post development work, tons of great features added, and yet you still can't remap vitally important keys. This is beyond lazy UI work, this is willful defiance of the needs of a non-insignificant portion of the gaming community. *sigh*

After hundreds of additional hours played, I can say that the game itself has come far and I love all the hard work that Hello has put into evolving the gameplay. However, while the keybinding is improved over my original review, it's still can be very frustrating. 5 years on and mouse 4, 5, and presumably some number of other keys/buttons are still represented by the same generic diamond in all menus, something I think that shows how little effort they put into thinking about HOW people play their game.

I've changed my rating from No to Yes, but if you are a keyboard remapper, be prepared for frequent frustration.
