The conceptual choice to separate ourselves from apparent external stimuli is already a built-in assumption on our model of reality, physically speaking.
This then leads to the idea as to why we make and seemingly understand that conceptual choice; it seems irrelevant on the eye of a idealized observer to make any sort of distinction without ultimately rationalizing it must be so based on his previous bias regarding reality.
It seems that it is incomprehensible then, how we comprehend things.
