You missed the BattleTech stream. All I can say is that these videos almost make the game seem more boring than it is to me. I Think I'll like playing it but the videos just dont move fast enough.

Man, consider grabbing battle brothers whenever it goes on sale. Its seriously a great game. I havent had time to play it again lately , but they keep churning out bug fixes and balance fixes even though its out of EA.
I'd say it might be a bit boring for you except you love ethe Crusader Kings games and Civ so Im not sure I understand what is boring to you and what isnt.
The combat seems to have consequences like Xcom and the randomness has made me starting and failing like 5-6 times already feel fun each time.
