A Plague Tale: Innocence, set in southern France in the late 14th century you play as a young girl named ‘’Amicia’’.
A great female protagonists that is actually a badass and continues evolving during the as the game goes on.
Gameplay is predominantly based around stealth and collecting resources to craft upgrades to your weapon and tools, and reminds me of The Last of Us.
The game has you solve puzzles to continue with the occasional boss fight, the last boss did feel like a let-down to me.
Although the game is rather short (Around 12 to 20 hours) it’s a very promising start to a possible franchise.
Graphicly the game is stunning to look at, but the expressions on the characters are mostly non-existent.
All the voice actors did an amazing job conveying emotions and all in a French accent although most enemies have the same voices.
I can honestly say I cared for the characters and the world building is excellent.
Even the sound design had my hard racing when the action was going on.
Overall the game was an absolute pleasure to play.
I’m definitely looking forward to a possible sequel.
