As someone who has spent over thousands of hours in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, this game feels like old, and new, mixed into one fantastic package. This game is fun in every sense of the word, with amazing gameplay that doesn't feel TOO smashy, but something that isn't too floaty or drastically different. The slime meter is an amazing addition that makes this game vastly different from any other platform fighter I've played EVER. From being able to cancel attacks into each other, to a slime dash that gives you extra invincibility frames and range, to a full on "final smash" inspired move, the Slime Meter adds a whole new layer to this game that will definitely take some time to master.

Pros:
-Fantastic Game Play.
-Great Campaign.
-Solid Online (Have had no issues whatsoever on my end.)
-Great Graphics.
-Blast with friends, online and offline.

Cons:
-Control Mapping is kinda sucky, especially for Keyboard players (They seem to have fixed this, however.)
-Upcoming DLC characters leave a lot to be desired (2 Avatar characters, really? Couldn't we get a new franchise?)

Overall, this game is great, but it is quite pricey, and although the price IS justified (with the Campaign being far better than Smash's "World Of Light"), I can't help but feel like the odd roster cuts, and the lacking DLC characters makes the score drag down a bit. I'd give this game an 8/10, an overall great game, but if you're on the fence about buying this game, I'd wait until at least a small sale, I'd say 40$ is the sweet spot. If you are a fighting game lover, however, this game is a MUST buy, ESPECIALLY for Smash fans.

OVERALL: 8/10
