people who play this game have to ask for extra small condoms, unless your wallet is huge enough to make up the difference

Played for years on the old client, and overall this is a pretty decent MMO. By far the best mix of pvp and pve content using an action combat system. There are other action combat style MMO's but TERA really makes you learn the fight and use your skills to beat boss encounters and is definitely not a button mashing kind of game (at least at endgame).

Came back to see what gameforge has done with the game; the 1-60 experience has been streamlined and 60-68 was a breeze as well. Pop is a little low and with solo dungeons being a thing I never had a chance to get a party until 68

The biggest shock was the 68-70 grind. TERA has always been a grindy game in terms of getting materials to craft gear, but having to grind thousands of hours to hit level cap is a bit too much for me.

The best selling point of TERA is the dynamic PvE dungeons and boss fights as well as the large scale PvP offered at max level once you have all of your character's gear and stats optimized. You can be a swift, mobile version of your class or a slow heavy hitter, etc depending on how you choose your gear, crystals, and etchings.

This level of grinding is comparable to Black Desert, and on a pure "grind months to level up" stance, BDO is better (however BDO PvP is terrible and there are no real boss fights or dungeons). I'm not saying grinding in an MMO is bad, just this level of grinding should take place after you hit cap and can work towards longer lasting rewards.

Overall I would say 6/10. If you have friends to play with consistently then you might have a better experience once you start reaching for 70.

good game but terrible matchmaking. US West with 1g/speed and frequent disconnects. Frustrating when you spend time on a mission only to get kicked to lobby when host d/c

Early Access Review
It's fun for the first couple of hours until you realize the community is made of gamers, and down here salt is a way of life. Get a group of friends to play with you that that can work together if you want to get anything done. Similar in experience to Albion online, it CAN be fun but its pretty hard solo

I expected a full on mil-sim and was pleasantly surprised how the game eases you into the more complicated mechanics. It's a free game and its worth a shot, If you enjoyed the vehicle combat from Battlefied this game will feel familiar.

My experience is from playing br 1.0-3.0.
