Pros
  • Ultra graphics look very nice (but can be pretty demanding if your graphics card isn't powerful enough).
  • Graphics in general are many times better than in the previous game Mudrunner.
  • Very fun and engaging game, but without the need for a ridiculous amount of effort to progress.
  • You can have multiple saves, so one for normal mode, and another for hard, etc.
  • Mods are embraced rather than a bannable offense like in other multiplayer games.
  • Has Steam trading cards and achievements.

Cons
  • Mud is too slippery.
  • Some trucks are too easy to tip over.
  • Rewards are too little for certain tasks.
  • While trucks in real life can be expensive, due to the low reward amounts, it can take a long time before you can afford one.
  • H (High) gear is pretty much useless because clutch tapping eliminates the usefulness of it.
  • Sometimes there can be way too many "winchable" objects nearby so it can be a hassle to get the desired winch point. Also, there is a bug that, after a while, you will not be able to manually select where to winch, and that requires a game restart, and that needs to be fixed.
  • Game can be pretty demanding at ultra 1080p; I frame cap to 60 but when I unlock it on my overclocked 2080 Ti, it can only get to around 70-120 FPS depending on what's around me in game. If you have anything below a 2080 Ti or 3070, consider dropping the quality.
  • Too many DLCs.

What I would like to see
  • Adjustable tire pressure, as that would be an absolute GAME CHANGER.
  • More rim options including beadlock functionality.
  • Ability to tow more than 1 trailer in serial without needing the winch.
  • Significantly higher top speed, the game is way too slow at 30-50 MPH max when in gear (though if you are downhill on paved road, you can put it in neutral and let it go faster)
  • More suspension related options, such as portal axles and fully adjustable air suspension
  • Newer trucks such as the new F150, RAM TRX, and HD trucks.
  • A minimap or at least a compass, since IRL we now use GPS systems on our phones or even our cars. (Maybe an integrated phone could be in the next release?👀)
  • An option for manual saving instead of having to wait a few minutes for autosave.
  • The ability to drive people around the map as a job (like Uber).

Conclusion

Overall, I love this game. The realism in this game is very good. The game is not too slow or faced paced, it's perfect imo. This is one of the few games that I have bought, that I feel is worth the full price, and I really mean it. A lot of games nowadays have the same boring "changed a few things, made graphics a bit better" kind of evolutions, NAH THIS GAME BLEW ME AWAY AFTER MUDRUNNER!! Mudrunner imo was kind of mid (especially the graphics), but this game... it deserves a Steam award!

the mud isn't too slippery you just have to be in low gear mod until you have the right tires, also you can access some better starter trucks early on in game if you know where to get them, the Tayga 6436 from Drowning Lands in Russia is excellent for example, not far from the garage you start at in that region
