I had a lot of fun playing the tutorial and then a full run. Definitely needs a bit of polish like the camera not panning upwards towards the next path after each encounter. And maybe some balancing to make the rounds not feel too "lost" after getting unlucky with a few pieces at the beggining. Maybe that involves widening the board by one block? Would be kinda cool to see how the rounds played with a bit more freedom, maybe it becomes too easy. Admittedly I haven't played enough to have figured out certain strats, but I stopped to review because I did have a fun time and am looking forward to seeing the release.

Really fun time with this - I wish it was more popular so there was less bots in lobbies, but regardless, it's fun just playing the games competing with your own reactions and sense of rhythm.

My girlfriend has countless hours on her Switch too.

It's got Fall Guy vibes, and hopefully it get's the same level of success.

Soulless and outdated. It would have been ahead of it's time in 2005, maybe.

There's hundreds of hours of content here - but none of it unique, none of it compelling.

The best part of the story is the final mission when you go back to Earth, NASA facility . This was so cool, and I thought damn I can explore earth . Na, it's just the same as every other planet - boring.

Attention to detail is lacking - it's as if nobody who played this during development had played any other game within the genre for the last 10 years. Because it's strikingly obvious that they are far from the standards set by smaller studios in almost every category. It's a shame, but I unlocked a cool steam profile pic because of it. Nice! It also made me give Cyberpunk a second chance and I bought No Mans Sky too!

Early Access Review
Great fun. Have been addicted to this game big time. 60 hours in 2 weeks and I'm still bad at the game.

So many ways to play against your opponents, different tactics and approaches with the builds on your units. You can get destroyed one round, but with a simple upgrade to attack distance, or speed, or even just a well placed shield, and you can come back in the next round.

Nice community too - you obviously will always get idiots, but a Friday night grinding MMR I have had a good time chatting with my opponents. Often you come against the same person game after game if you are chain queuing, but I really enjoy this.

Refunded. It's absolutely appalling on steam deck. I've been pushed this game since release on the steam deck landing page and gave in on summer sale.

With the lowest possible settings and upscaling set to performance, it runs like absolute crap. Plugged in - crap. Docked onto external monitor - crap. Barely scraping 30fps, artefacts all over the screen, textures loading in as you move about, input lag... I can play games like Yakuza Like A Dragon on medium or high settings on my deck without a hitch.

Maybe, with a load of tweaking, you can get this playable on a steady 30fps on low settings without input lag and textures popping in and out. But who wants to screw about in a cave (which you wouldn't think would be an intensive environment to process) for the first hour of gameplay trying to get your AAA game playable, especially when it is "verified" game being pushed to you every time you land on the steam deck landing page.

Even the "verified" thing is a bit sketchy - the game doesn't like controllers. You move your mouse cursor around with your analogue stick, and it's so horribly slow, and then it slows down and "sticks" to a setting when you're hovering over it - some of the settings take up 70% width of the screen so you're dragging your mouse across multiple settings trying to get to the setting you actually want to adjust... instead of it just recognising controller inputs and letting you D pad between settings like any normal game would.

Absolutely do not pay £45 for this game. Get it on sale around 50% if you can (I got it on sale here 3 years ago) . It's not a bad game, but it's really not doing anything crazy or pushing boundaries. I played on xbox when it came out too - more hours there.

I wish I could give this a neutral rating. I do not recommend this game at the full price.

It has it's moments with the story and gameplay, but things like combat, stealth and generally just getting around the levels feel uninspired and dated. I was invested in the story and the world to some degree but after my first day of trying to replay this on steam it was obvious how much it had aged. I've only left a review because I saw the full price of this game on the store and was flabbergasted.

Short, sweet, funny, great writing - animations - and characters, totally worth the money for the 1.5hrs I spent playing.

New and have a team of friends you want to play with? Great.

New and want to play unranked with randoms? Stay clear if you don't enjoy a barrage of abuse and racism.

I still play the game because I have tough skin and play with some friends who have been playing this a long time - they are always apologetic for the community when these incidents occur.

The annoying thing is that you HAVE to play 100 hours of unranked abuse before you can start playing ranked games. Why the hell don't they have unranked games with people close to your playtime - this is a huge problem for Dota 2 - I've played CS since 1.6 and I've definitely not seen toxicity like the Dota community, which says a lot.

In an unranked game yesterday I played with a guy who randomly said the N word - no context, no reason, unprompted. And after a few of us gave him abuse and said we'd report him, he responded with "dude, it's just dota." Which them prompted another team mate to start being racist too. I reported both players but I'm pretty sure they'll be happily playing without any consequence.
