Early Access Review
I got this new job, but I don't know how I feel about it. On one hand my co-workers are great to be around and work with. On the other hand the work is hard, ♥♥♥♥ pay, and there aren't any toilets so I wear a diaper for the copious amount of ♥♥♥♥♥ I will be having on the job site.

-Fix attacks so the animations match the hit-box.
-Fix dodges so that I won't take damage despite dodging an attack, mind you I'll dodge an attack the same exact way several times and will occasionally just take damage from it despite not actually be hit (ie no stagger from a powerful attack, but loose most of my hp).
-Fix world hit-box, getting stuck in world geometry and literally unable to do anything only to get killed by mobs/invaders should not be a thing.
-Balance elements. Its amazing how weak every element type is compared to frostbitten. I get some are going to be stronger than others, but frostbitten to other elements is like comparing a toddler to Mike Tyson
-Fix multiplayer. When aiding another lamp bearer I have no issues and it works really well. Invading on the other hand the game decides to use dial-up internet and I get hit by a short sword from 20ft away. 100% of aiding summons are fine while 90% of invasions the game takes a massive ♥♥♥♥.
-Fix optimization. As an example I shouldn't be dropping to literally 1 fps on loading screens, and no it's not a hardware issue.
-Mobs lack diversity. Half of the mobs are just variants. Oh here is an ice wolf. Oh here is an armored wolf. Oh here is an archer, an ice archer, a holy, etc. It doesn't really change much besides the type of damage it does. The whole game feel very copy and paste through out.
-Lack of logic with mob placement and combat. "Here's a tight corridor, place a mob with a two-handed mace. But make sure it's weapon attacks don't bounce of the walls so it can actually fight. Also make sure the player's attacks bounce of the wall every time. That'll force them to use spend sparse resources to upgrade a bad wepon that has an advantage in that corridor. Ooh and only allow one weapon to be equipped effectively, so they can't switch primaries on the fly." You want to make that corridor a challenge to get by then put a mob there that makes sense, like a spear-man for example. The game is riddled with this issue.
-Umbral State. Aspects of it are really cool, and I absolutely love the mechanic in theory. Problem is how it's implemented. It feels like a chore to enter umbral state to handle. The amount of times I find a "hidden" path designed for umbral state. Do this whole little "course" to get to the intended destination that rewards you with gear that's just way worse than the boss gear you get way before hand.
-Item placement. In general it seems like they pick by random which items go where. For instance a ring that increases your npc summons ranged attack ammo that would be ok early (due to a lack of options) gets placed half way through when you have 20+ options that far outperform it.

The more I play this game the more I hate it. I just only to complete it because it has interesting aspects on New Game + I want to see. Otherwise don't buy this game. It needs way more work done on it.

This game has a ton of core problems. I could go into detail but I don't want to waste the hours it would take to type it all out. Ill probably get max level (just in case they actually fix the issues) then dump this trash game.

Edited: It feels like a class presentation, but instead putting time into the actual topic the person just does all these wild animations and features. While the more "generic" knowledge is accurate, all the details are way off. Comparing this to other MMORPGS would be like comparing Eataly to Taco Bell. Hope this helps.

Second Edit: I've requested a refund... there is no point.

Another comparison to help out. Playing this games feels the same as to getting busy work at your job. Except this is during your leisurely time rather than your work time.

There are quite a few problems with this game, but the biggest one is the balance issue. There are characters that are just overall good, which is what you want. However, half of the 10 characters are hard countered by the other half. Normally hard counters are kinda good, but only when the game has like 50+ to choose from. When the character you want to play is literally hard countered in 80% of the matches and there is quite literally nothing you can do to win then there is no fun, and no point. If the devs can fix this then the game can be tolerable despite a mountain of other issues. If you are looking for a new game to play then avoid this one. Don't be temped by the f2p. That being said I do enjoy the concept of the game and am looking forward to future development, but it is currently not in a good position.
