Solid game assuming Sony doesn't stealthily bring bank account linking.

Solid RTS and the direct control mechanic is really enjoyable. Lots of ways to play the game however you enjoy.

For me, this did not feel like a simulator. It's complex and attempts to capture the many moving parts of a carrier, but many critical elements are executed in unrealistic ways. The overall sortie control loop of recon/identify/attack isn't compelling, as these activities were most often carried out in a single sortie by aircraft of the time period, and the card based system for controlling attack outcomes feels particularly un-immersive. The crew management is overly simplistic and focuses on micromanaging a set of relatively unimportant tasks, like where to position a small number of individual crew on the ship.

If you're looking for a simulator, this probably isn't it.

Interesting open world survival mechanics, challenging but achievable progression that rewards careful play and especially teamwork.

However, there's no reward for progressing past about mid-game. Higher levels of the tech tree just require even more grinding, without any need to actually complete those levels in order to complete missions.

As other reviews mention, there are clearly beta elements still present in the game, like un-implemented skill tree paths. An interesting game for a couple dozen hours, but needs dramatically more design work to make further progression feel like it has a purpose beyond simple grinding.

Arma speaks for itself, but its real strength is the wide array of mods available for it. The new SOG Prairie Fire CDLC has breathed a lot of life back into the game.

Solid tactical shooter which highly rewards teamwork and objective based play. Initial learning curve is a bit tough, stick with it and you'll be rewarded.

A fantastic addition to the series, tons of fun.

Awesome coop game with solid singleplayer mechanics for when your friends aren't around.

One of the best military flight sims available, a high level of accuracy for a fairly wide range of aircraft. Supports a wide range of input and output device customization natively - HOTAS, button boxes, VR headset & hand controllers.

Compares well to the Witcher 3, with strong story and lots of interesting side quests. The world is extremely compelling.

Controls are not great, and graphics are obviously a bit dated. Many minor issues in text, and some of the writing is almost comically bad.
