After you get semi-good at this, it becomes an incredibly fun, fast paced and rewarding experience.

I'm nominating The Witcher 3 for the “Even Better Than I Expected” Award.

I was hesitant to play this game when it came out because of all the hype surrounding it, so I waited a couple years, and a week ago I finally started playing…
It ended up being one of the best games I've ever played. If you are doubting like I was: buy it and play it. I played 60 hours in 5 days almost without realizing, and that's because I said "just one more side-quest/witcher contract", and boom! the sun is rising and it's 6 in the morning... So yeah, It needs a LOT of time but it’s 100% worth it!

Although it has some flaws, it contains the best level design in any game I have ever played.
