Fun, especially with friends. Just don't try to mine at night.

Caveat: bought on sale. It's a fun survival crafting adventure exploring taming game with dinosaurs. It's reasonably easy to set up a server to play with friends, especially if one of your friends will willingly spend hours debugging the server after every update. Death can seem unforgiving, but the leveling system and simple crafting means you can quickly gear up even if your previous gear is at the bottom of the ocean surrounded by megalodons. There are interesting and bizarre mysteries to solve, especially if you don't read a bunch of spoilers. Valheim with teknodinosaurs and guns, sure, but only after you tech up to the gun level.

Fun, not-quite-idle game. Requires some learning and some planning. A rogue-light grinder where you control some aspects of the maze, your gear, and your dude just follows his own path.

Nice HD Final Fantasy goodness. Lots of unique elements like scratch-esque ai programming to tell your fellow teammates "heal me if I get low". Pretty in many ways. Has all the final fantasy elements, plus a few new ones.

Pretty easy to play game with world-sharing online multiplayer. Has a crafting system, 2d side-scrolling platforming elements, and lots of hostile alien fauna including monster cat ghost things. Bows and arrows, matter manipulators, and a beginning sequence not dissimilar to Super Metroid. I chose to rebuild a castle with my friend to serve as our base against the hostile elements, and to store our loot. Retro feel and appeal.

While it can be a bit slow (in fact I've left it running overnight a few times), I enjoy this game and would like to play through all of the scenarios eventually. The endgame is a bit open-ended, and there isn't a real way to avoid lots of people dying and it being your fault, but there is a real challenge and lots of interesting story bits.

Boring and static, great music but horrible navigation and beyond inane dialogue.

I was attempting the mouse controls but the behavior was bizarre.
Clicking "exit" while shopping purchases an item, clicking a visible point on the screen sometimes causes the player to walk there, or sometimes just walks them into a nearby wall, not even necessarily in the same direction.

The graphics are somewhat pretty but lack the "FF" or "CT" functionality... just because you walk over a type of grass on the screen doesn't mean you can walk over identical grass elsewhere.

There are lots of screens that just end and you can't continue unless you find the road, no trees, no cliff, just half a farm and then invisible barrier.

The characters at the start are quite samey, none of the individuality of silhouette of a game like ChronoTrigger or even FF6.

There's a helpful option to "censor" jokes, I didn't know what it meant but I may try it if I attempt this game again.
The jokes are just lame, including your "friend" accusing everyone you meet of being a pedophile.

NB: I crowdfunded this game, and was offered perks for writing a review.
