Gorgeous environment in which to walk back and forth, over and over, wishing there were puzzles to solve and MYSTeries to explore.
I Kickstarted this, and I say skip it. Are you looking for a gripping storyline? No line to be found. I'd say a story point, but I wouldn't want to say there was a point at all.
For the majority of the game the dialogue will be provided by a green fart in the corner of your eye, waffling about nothing in particular.
But who cares about that!? We're here for PUZZLES, BAY-BEE!
There's like, 2.
Seriously, I can't bring myself to call anything other than the vertical tracks and vaults, and the battery lake a puzzle. They seem to agree as well, as they just shrug and make you do the battery lake twice.
Everything else is just kinda "obstacles."
Like, you wouldn't say your front door is a "puzzle" because you have to fish the keys out of your pocket or turn the knob.
The hardest you'll strain your brain is trying to find the socket you're missing, or mistakenly thinking you can even complete a section, before discovering you didn't have the upgrade from a different zone to progress.
I love the Myst series. I recently went back to do another run of Myst Online: Uru Live. Did you know that game is free? Did you know it exists? You're still here? It's over. Go home! Go!

Trust me, those party members that annoy the hell out of you DO mellow out at time goes on. Treat them well, and they can all be pretty chill.
Alternatively, stab them to death.

Plot was convoluted, combat was a mess, party member chatter was like listening to the worst of Dragon's Dogma pawns, and the writing was just bizarre...
But Jack did it his way.
Good game, strong recommend.

Rollercoaster ride of a story. Is it buggy? Yes. Sometimes, even ♥♥♥♥ yes.
Do I regret playing? Not at all.

It's incredible how much this game has grown since release. The team has not only been dedicated to improving the graphics, but also adding new game types, enemies, and most importantly, beards.
Rock and Stone!

As a warning, it's definitely heavy on the "novel" aspect of "visual novel" so temper your expectations accordingly.
That said, it has a very intriguing setting, and establishes a very fascinating atmosphere that feels lived in, even if some people are lacking on that front.
The music is fantastic, and the writing has had me laughing several times.
If I must point out a few flaws, and they are of a mostly resolvable, technical persuasion:
The game will suffer from slowdowns. My computer is by no means a slouch, but even it will chug on the occasion. There was a brief issue where the mouse was separated from the center reticle, but that went away when a story point unlocked. And most importantly, as I said in the first sentence, this is very much a lean towards the novel aspect of the genre. I've been enjoying it, but so far I've yet to encounter a lot of "gameplay" really. So that can be a con largely depending on taste and the mood you're in. But hey, walking simulators are a thing, might as well have a drink while you're at it.
This does remind me that I need to get back to slinging drinks in a cyberpunk bar, however. My library of bartending story adventures grows.

I'm at a loss to describe how much I hate this game. If I could even begin, however, I can be sure it still hates me more. Every moment I've played it has been all to happy to remind me of this fact. If it could private message me a diatribe of my numerous failings in life, I am certain it would, and with a smiling winky face as punctuation.
