So far really enjoying it. Giving me ark/ferngully/honey I shrunk the kids/enshrouded vibes. Definitely worth a peek

Actually pretty fun for a free to play. Easy to casually hop on, do a few races and eventually unlock some stuff.

Basically a Disney version of Mario kart and pretty well done.

There are mtx but I don't feel like you need them tbh.

Check it out for some casual fun, or if you have kids

Is it better than New Gundam Breaker? Yes
Is it better than Breaker 3: Break Edition? Hell no

Honestly the story is terrible. (low effort, soulless, rushed, and boring). Like i didnt expect anything special, but SOME effort in any way shape or form would be nice, its as generic and lifeless as it can get.

The boss fights are boring and mid and not creative at all. Just copy and pasted old bosses without anything interesting story wise.

The combat system is OK, not as fun as 3 but acceptable.

I HATE the fact that they have you use your gunpla as your avater walking around in the lobby. They even give them breathing animations and stuff that just plain DONT fit a death machine like a gundam.

I miss 3's lobby where your gunpla were sitting there towering over you and you still had an avatar.
And from everything ive seen the DLC are incredibly meh at best.

Honestly at this point just port 3 to pc because it seems like none of the devs/teams are particularly passionate about the breaker games enough anymore to where they can surpass 3. If you want to go above and beyond, port 3 and add the ones before it to 3 as dlc or something.

Not to mention theres still mountains of old gunpla that still havent made their way into the game (some of my favorites such as asshimar and kehaar and messala and gabthley, zssa, anksha among many many others, heck i would have been happy if they did the SD versions, or even the musha sd versions of these but nope). And dont say its because theyre transformable/mobile armors because there are other transformable and mobile armors in too. Heck theyre even missing cool grunt suits like the Rodi lineup from IBO. I actually didnt even notice any new mobile suits during my first playthrough at all. Seems like they copy and pasted the lineup from 3.

And not only that, but 3 had descriptions and lore listed for each gundam , that was also removed for four.

Also the mission layout feels cheap. Id like to traverse the map and "move through" the playing field to progress instead of being teleported in, fight, and teleport to the next tiny area. Feels very very cheap and lifeless. almost like a mobile game.

Also the maps are very basic, tiny, and boring/uninspired.

Only giving this a recommended because its better than new gundam breaker, and I did manage to extract some fun from it, BECAUSE of my nostalgia from 3, however it still cowers in the shadow of the greatness that was 3.

Tldr: Better than New Gundam Breaker and way worse than 3.
Recommend you buy it at a discount if youre not a huge gundam/gunpla fan.

This is like if some corporate, soulless company with no interest or passion for gundam or gunpla decided to try and copy 3.

It even comes down to things like 3 had the abilities on the parts named off of in lore abilities, such as aleya-vijnana being for response time, but they cut all that out and dumbed down the stat system, and when i say dumbed down, i mean by a LOT, you used to be able to fine tune things way more than you can now. they removed a lot of "traits" that you could add to parts and fine tune them how you want.

Pretty hard to play when theres SO MUCH action on screen and they expect you to read subtitles to know whats going on. darting my eyes back and forth especially when playing on the big screen sucks. Just tired of the lazy ports. Not going to bother buying anymore modern games that arent dubbed in english.

So I just finished the campaign. Very well made game, enjoyed the combat, and the attention to detail was fantastic (besides the fact that chaos doesnt have access to primaris , and theyre the same size as a primaris, where as normal astartes are actually smaller). I had one infinite loading screen during my whole playthrough and no issues besides. I run it on a 11700k, 32gb ram, and a 6800xt, and get over 60 fps stable with all the settings maxed out, at 1440p and after i swapped the game off of my boot drive and onto my spare optane ssd i didnt have any issues with the infinite loading screen deal.

If youre concerned: they stick to the lore, theres no woke/dei pandering bs. Its a pure 40k experience.

My only real complaint about the campaign is that mid mission they completely change your loadout for no reason. Like one second i have my plasma weapons and a hammer that i specifically chose as my loadout in the beginning of the mission, then im back to the default (beginning of game gear) after a cutscene during the same mission.

Ive only done one operation and found them fun, i plan to play them more and will update as I get more time with operations in.

One last thing: F u c k Leandros.

So. Im pleasantly surprised.

When i saw reviews/videos on this game , honestly it didnt look like my cup of tea. However, its free to play, and i saw that there were creature collector elements to it, as well as base building elements, so im like why not? give it a shot.

Im glad i did.

The game has a pretty interesting story, good gunplay, fun gameplay loop, creature collecting components, fun crafting/basebuilding and the survival mechanics arent too brutal.

I play on a pve server.

The game reminds me of a mashup between secret world, resident evil, palworld, ark, and a bit of rust, and maybe a bit of farcry.

Its free, and i havent felt the urge to spend a dime. Give it a shot for about an hour, you have nothing to lose tbh.

I will say it has some performance issues, when i set it to 120 i was getting wildly varying framerates so i had to cap it at 60 at 1440 ultra with a 11700k, 32gb ram and a 6800xt on an m2 drive.

gunplay seems decently fun.
fps is stable and supports fsr/frame gen
story was growing on me.
but it crashed to desktop. So its a no from me. Not going to waste my time and have to repeat missions if the game is going to crash.

Also nexon isnt a great company tbh.

Early Access Review
A relaxing, low key, ocean based RPG.

Noticing big improvements with the updates, and can recommend you grab it as long as the updates keep coming.

still needs a lot of work, but whats here is enjoyable.

kind of fun at first, but really dies down after a bit. Also it requires an online connection to work properly, on a single player game thats a no go. Dont give EA/Bioware your money.

(this is not my actual game time, i left it on for a few days when i was busy doing other things. )
