At the moment the biggest bugbear was the EGS third party bit required for the online multiplayer. What makes it sting more is it wasn't really communicated at all before the game launched. I'm pretty sure all the disclaimers were added after launch, but I'm not 100% certain. Surprise!

If that's an absolute no sell for you, why not look into the Simple Series where this series got it's start instead? They're all budget titles (albeit some strange ones, and not all of them may be translated into english) across a few systems. Look 'em up! There's some real bangers in there. Only thing else you'd need is the right *ahem* Spicy Virtual Console™.

As an EDF title it is still the same loveable B-movie game but it builds further off of EDF 5 (you know, how sequels work). So far it has run well despite all the nonsense happening all at once. It does have some longer load times. The very first mission is a painfully slow tutorial but once you get through that the pace picks up really quick. And it feels like they introduce new enemy types more quickly, so that's nice.

The voice of the sergeant the boonie hat kind of sounded familiar. Like if David McKay was doing his Quinze voice he did in the Gundam Wing english dub, but as a drill sergeant. I know it sounds weird, but it works! I don't know if David McKay actually did any VA work in this game or not. If not, then whoever you are...amazing job ;_;)7

Also the Free Bike- excuse me, its something like Freed1 now- still has extremely mysterious physics.

cool red scarf/10 Would fight for earth and the orange and purple sergeant from EDF 5 again
