I don't understand the purpose of this game. It is nothing like Doom 2016 (which I loved). In about half an hour I felt like I heard more jokes and had to do more platforming than in a whole map of the previous entry. This game felt like Duke Nukem Forever and Mario developers tried their hands on making a Doom game.

Greetings,

Thank you for taking time to review DOOM Eternal. We are sorry to hear that Doom Eternal did not live up to your expectations due to the platforming and puzzles.

The goal of Doom Eternal was to expand and improve on everything that players enjoyed in Doom 2016 as well as paying homage to earlier Doom games that long time fans will recognize.

The playstyle of Doom Eternal has become more demanding in comparison to its predecessor, which aims to challenge players in decision making during combat. We feel that the new movement implementation of double jumping and dashing allow for more unique ways to transverse the map, as well as adding a multi layered dynamic to the levels. This leads to new unique puzzles to discover how to reach your next checkpoint, as well as more places to find collectables that you can use to flaunt items in your ship or to unlock additional game options.

We are always trying to improve our players' experience and encourage you submit your ideas to our development team via a feedback ticket at https://beth.games/3OCigNi.

Thank you for your review and we hope you give Doom Eternal another try.

Warm Regards,

The Bethesda Team
