Like other reviewers have mentioned, this is Mass Effect 2 with a Dragon Age skin.

It's not the same as previous Dragon Age games but I still really enjoyed it regardless. There's a couple of missions/moments that are peak BioWare, the environments and the combat are great and the characters feel good to interact with, although I wish the dialogue wasn't as dumbed down as it was.

Some factions have way more content than others, especially Grey Wardens and Mourn Watch.

I feel like the major plot lines and the codex entries do a good job of expanding on the lore, some might be controversial, but at least it's interesting.

Regarding the LGBTQ+ content, it's really a miniscule part of the game (and pretty decent, not gonna lie), if your basing off your purchase on that alone, it's like not buying Origins due to the fade section.

Anyway, I think it's great, going for my second playthrough right now and most likely won't be my last.

8.5/10

The game has all the faults that people already expressed, the MMO'esq gameplay experience in the open world, the sometimes god awful level design, the mounts are just absolutely terrible to use, (I mostly just walked the entire time and enjoyed it a lot more) most of the gear, especially plate, looks awful, the war table waiting and some other valid complaints.

In the end, if you enjoy Dragon Age and the stories it provides, it's a really solid entry that gets even better with the Trespasser DLC, and now with The Veilguard around the corner, it's probably the best time to jump into the game and learn the events that lead into its sequel. It's not as good as Origins, as few games are in my opinion, but it's good on its own and provides a lot of fun content for diverse playthroughs. Just make sure you get the mod so you don't have to wait around for the war table.

It's a solid 8/10, you just gotta get through the Hinterlands, I promise.

Enjoyable game. Combat can get repetitive but it still manages to feel good and responsive. Game looks extremely good for a 2013 release. Short but enjoyable story. It's got an arena mode that's actually pretty fun and can be played co-op. You'll be getting great value out of your money. (The game goes on sale quite often though, so I recommend waiting for one.)

Unfortunately no account transfer to steam, which sucks.
Still a great pvp/lifestyle mmo, just be mindful that it is very grindy.

Good: Game is fun, looks good and it's well optimized. Multiplayer active but very small (albeit loyal) playerbase. Fun PvE mode with friends. Good starting point if you want to learn more about the 40K universe.

Bad: Campaign is only around 5-7 hours long. Levels can get repetitive after a while.

Edit: Sequel is coming, FOR THE EMPEROR!

Pros:

+ Polished gameplay
+ Never found a bug
+ Aesthetically pleasing and lightweight (Will run decently on most machines
+ Modding community
+ Easy to pick up
+ It has good depth and variety to the builds that you can do (especially if you add mods)
+ AMAZING Loot
+ Multiplayer still active
+ CO-OP
+ Good endgame with end game maps that you can do + extras from the modding community
+ Pretty good end game (End game maps and New Game + which adds more challenge to the game and better loot)

Cons:

- End game maps can get boring after a while, I recommend doing New Game +
- Soundtrack gets extremely repetitive
- Co-op sometimes lags out, make sure the host always goes through portals first to avoid this.
- Game can get repetitive after the 2nd playthrough so I recommend grouping up for maps, or modding the game to try out new builds, skills and loot.
- Although multiplayer is still active, 80% of the rooms are private, so you can get a harder time finding a public game around your level, if anything just create your own and someone will surely join.
- Story loses its focus a bit and you end up losing interest in it rather quickly
- Its definitely not a Diablo 3 or a Path of Exile when it comes to available content and the game will most likely not have any other future content updates, so keep that in mind. Modding can only go so far.
