Unpredictable..

Stunning visuals, no hand holding, variety of challenging but hardly brain numbing puzzles and the emphasis on allowing the player to be creative rank "Animal Well" as the best game I've ever played.

The best way to experience this game would be to just jump in with a PS5 controller without watching any gameplay or review footage.

Who the hell is Karl?

Wait a couple of months before you buy, would not recommend this game in its current state.

- You need to be online in order to play solo.

- Matchmaking takes ages, even in solo..

- Party members are kicked out of your party every time you cancel matchmaking.

- Interact and Point/Intimidate are two separate buttons now, the Point/Intimidate control is regularly unresponsive.

- Resolution issue where the game is fixed at 720p with no option to change it unless you restart the game a couple of times.

- Terribly optimised compared to the BETA version, I can now barely run 60 fps @ 1080p with all options set at LOW whereas during the beta I could run it at 1080p ultra/high flawlessly.

- You can only view the number of pagers/radios left once you exhaust a pager/radio.

- There's no option to skip the intro when you're launched into a heist, so everytime you restart a heist you're forced to sit through it which can get mildly irritating.

- No voice chat.

This game provides such a unique and fun experience all which is owed to the NEMESIS SYSTEM. This patented system ensures that players experience their own unique side story while building armies of orcs and conquering fortresses apart from the main game. Every interaction a player faces with enemies is truly unique and what's astounding is how the nemesis system enables you to form a bond with each orc based off your previous interactions with them.

- Graphics are superb
- Main story is compelling and has a satisfying end to the duology
- Side quests are fun and repetition is voided somewhat thanks to the nemesis system
- If you've played Shadow of Mordor - then you'd certainly love this game. If you haven't, then this game is definitely worth a try just to get a glimpse of the capabilities of the nemesis system.

Never a dull moment in this game. The story is written brilliantly riddled with twists and emotionally charged moments. I happened to simply stumble upon this game which I received for free, just sitting in my library.

10/10 - Graphics certainly won't hold up today, but you only get a handful of games these days with such GREAT STORY WRITING.
