For long time I wasn't sure would I recommend or not recommend this game. After about 70 hours I can actually say something about it.

This game isn't like CIV5 was, that is main reason people dislike it. Big change we had between CIV4 and 5 is actually same like we have between CIV5 and this one. This game IS good, for single player you have so many different ways to play, many more than it was in CIV5. Here with micromanage you can if you play it smart support 6-8 cities in preindustrial age, huge maps here make big difference. It is what CIV game is supposed to be, it's fun, it's good and it can keep you lots of hours playing.

But, honestly this game isn't finished. You can see it in the way AI plays, there are minor bugs, some glitches, sometimes tech tree doesn't make a sense. With few mods from civfanatic this game get that "finished" look and it really get you in that "one more turn" mood. Later with workshop on steam and few fixes from developers this will be best from CIV series.
