To anyone looking at these early reports of a poor port...please note that I think there may be more at work here. My PC is only modestly powerful by today's standards, and Dishonored 2 has been running like a dream. I'm not sure what's causing the issues people are reporting, but it's not happening to everyone.

I'll update this review with further thoughts, but I will say that I am so far really enjoying this follow-up. It's exactly what I liked from the first game, with some improvements and fresh ideas/mechanics.

Early Access Review
Oh man, I've been looking for a game to fill the dungeon crawler void in my heart. There was a game I used to play on iOS called Solomon's Keep, that I absolutely played the heck out of, and for whatever reason, I was never able to find a dungeon crawler that could quite claim the title of my favorite after that. I think I've found it.

This game has been absolutely lovely throughout all my hours of play so far, and I'm so excited for more. Very simple gameplay (move, shoot, two different spells that vary depending on character), but ridiculously high level of variety in skill + stat progression, but in particular, when it comes to the items. Holy crap the items are cool. So many different ways to build up your character, so many fun passive and active items (my personal favorite so far is probably the cannon ball, which creates a 50% chance of explosion on hit, just because of its damage output, but the list of items includes laser staffs, dragon tails, magma feet, spiked boots, holy crosses, Death's bow...okay, there's too many to list here, but you get the gist).

TL;DR: If you want an intense dungeon crawler with high replayability that's FUN, not a constant struggle, look no further.
