I initially found this software looking for a way to randomize wallpaper for my 2 displays at home and my 3 displays at work. DisplayFusion offered me so many more features I didn't know would be useful!

Desktop icon placement can be saved on a per resolution/per screen basis. This is great for my work laptop when I dock and undock my laptop. This also works when I remote desktop into my home computer from a computer with running a different resolution!

Best multi-monitor add-on software out there. I've been using this since Windows 7 was in it's prime. It continued to work fully with Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and 11. This handles multi-monitor taskbar better than windows in my experience. The dev has never charged for new versions of the software and they allow installing personal licenses on as many PCs as you want.

Microsoft has added features to Windows 10 and 11 that does overlap with this now but I find myself going back to DisplayFusion due to specific customization options.

I bought a copy outside of steam to support the dev (and to have a copy I could install without needing steam installed). Note: you do not have to run steam to run this app but may need to occasionally launch steam for updates (of course).
