Good.

This is a good game.

I really love this series and even despite that I still cannot get past the unit balancing and their affect on the core gameplay loop. It really is a shame that I would probably need to wait for even beyond half off before considering picking this up over just playing another WWII rts, of which there are numerous. I'll check back in a few years when the game has had hopefully some more thought put into it.

I have followed this game for a long time and there are plenty of reviews discussing its redemption arc, so I will skip over that part. However, I will add that this is one of the few games that I have played through "fully" multiple times and enjoyed it consistently. The team behind this game have done some fantastic work. It is clear they know their own game inside and out and use that to deliver new and unexpected things to a loyal and persistent audience.

Updated: basically to say that the game kept doing what its good at and releasing great content for free all while expanding their game's capabilities in meaningful and significant ways.

Not usually my genre, but, it is one of the best games I have played.

There were a few issues of note, but at least for me, most were tolerable to a point, except for Online Only servers. Even then I could forgive Online Only, if it were at least convenient for the user, however, when you are sitting in a queue for a game for single player, that is where I draw the line. The game play of this game is solid and feels great to use, but is tragically limited by poor developer decisions. I hope to re-buy on a sale at some point in the future after some of theses initial issues are fixed.

I guess its fine.
