This game is gorgeous, the campaign is super fun, everything seems very true to the 40k lore (if you care about that at all).

But anything having to do with online sucks in this game. Disconnects, randomly going into offline mode, server problems, etc. Oh and the black loading screens which will dominate a lot of your playtime.

There has never been a more apt use of the phrase, "A shiny turd."

I'll definitely give this a thumbs up if they can fix the server issues.

(Edit 10/26/2024) After the 4.0 patch I can no longer launch the game. It tried to connect to Epic and failed, and after uninstalling and reinstalling it refuses to launch. Avoid this game at all costs.

This game is a boring, grey slog. If you like fast-paced games like Vampire Survivors or Soulstone survivors, avoid this one.

If you've ever played any other Vampire Survivors-style game and are used to playing those, avoid this one. The movement speeds of the characters are so agonizingly slow, even with mythic movement speeds boots it makes 0 difference. Leigong's haste blessing? Movement speeds shrines? It's not even noticeable. The only thing in the game that makes moving around while attacking any good is Time's "Gem High". It is so painful to play I can't recommend it in it's current state.

Devs, please increase the base movement speed on every character by at least 80, I beg of you. I really like the game other than the crawling around the map.

Old-school Ultima-style game with some modern quality-of-life improvements (maps/notes). Very challenging, but not oppressively difficult. And it's free!

Do you like the 40k Universe?
Do you like the gameplay loop of Left 4 Dead/Vermintide? (Killing hordes of monsters and specials as you make your way through a map with a team of people)
Do you like awesome music?
Do you like to purge heretics?

If you said yes to any of these questions, you might want to give this game a shot.

Amazing so far - so much dialogue, and the voice acting is superb.

You may think to yourself, "How can driving a truck around in a video game be any fun? Seems incredibly boring." Well I thought the same thing and then I started playing it. This may not be for everyone, but do yourself a favor and pick it up while it's on sale and just drive around and chill.

After almost 500 hours driving a truck around Europe, I have to say this game is still getting regular updates and going strong. I even ended up getting a racing wheel/h-shifter/chair setup for this game. It's very very fun.

It's very cheap on sale - at least try it! Not that much money wasted if you hate it. ;)

DON'T BUY THIS GAME.

It is a terrible buggy mess. The patches don't help. I finally uninstalled this piece of crap after getting fed up with the ridiculous bugs and crashes. Good riddance.

I'll check back in a year if the game isn't dead by then.

Unless you have a guild of 50 friends to play this with, or feel like joining a huge guild, give this game a pass and go play minecraft or terraria.
