Definitely one of my favorite games of all time. Which is crazy to think considering how peculiar the gameplay is. First of all, I really love how the game is presented. Kojima's work is always full of cinematic beauty, and this title is no exception, which I absolutely love. Very few games aspire to be more with their cutscenes. This feels like a high budget sci-fi movie. To be honest, if it was a movie, and not a video game - it would have been MUCH better. Visually, this game is astonishing. I am really unsure of how they were able to craft a world with such detail and graphical fidelity. Everywhere you look is a wallpaper material. Both the soundtrack and the score are amazing, and I have come back to them more than I would like to admit. Song choice is great, and I am looping them on Spotify.

Now, the glaring issue with the game is its gameplay. On first glance, it seems very tidious. And around first 5-8 hours of the game, it really is a chore. But once you progress through the game, you will soon realize just how much you can do to make your traversal substantially faster. Then the experimental gameplay of Death Stranding becomes servicable. It still is not perfect, far from it, actually, but I strongly believe the story, visuals, music, cutscenes - they all make the game worthwhile.
