I have a special place for Praetorians in my heart. Music of this game triggers an emotional chill inside my body. I just love each and every element of this game and it reminds me of my good old memories.

For me, the HD remaster was an instant purchase and a no brainer. I have purchased this in the hope that each and every element of the game would remain same just like the old Praetorians except for below points:
1. Removing the bugs with newer platforms.
2. Playable on GNU+Linux without any compatibility layers.
3. A bit a graphics improvement (but not too much to make it look totally different).

I will play this remaster till end coming weekend and will update my review again. After playing the first mission so far I recommend it.

a lesson for ea to learn

It's like living another life.

I played and completed this game around 12 years ago. This game has given me the best and unforgettable strategy experience. I have played many strategy games in my childhood, I am listing below as much as I remember:

Age of Empires (First)
Age of Mythology
Shogun: Total War
Warcraft II: Orcs/Humans
Praetorians
Age of Wonders
Pocket War
Slay
Command & Conquer: Red Alert

Out of all these, Praetorians is simply on the top of my list as favorite. Thanks you Dad, for buying this game.
