Play this game if you want to play with people who have a sanctioned Aimbot. You get put into matches with console players that have a built in aimbot (aim assist). I've tested this on PS5 and you can literally spam your sight key and it will lock you onto enemies that you wouldn't otherwise have scene. Best part is, console players can opt out of playing with PC players, but not vice versa. The devs force you to play with aimbotters.

The game itself is awesome. The developer is the sole and only reason that this is getting a down vote.

Paradox has always been greedy in the way that it nickles and dimes players for DLC. However, their recent move of doubling the price of ALREADY EXISTING DLC is absolutely ridiculous and the opposite of good business practices. This is the only way for players to effect change. When the company realizes that players refuse to buy their product (to include the upcoming Victoria game), then they may reverse their policies to a more reasonable model. Once again, I encourage everyone to refuse to buy Paradox titles or DLC until they are on 75% off sale.

The game is really buggy. EDIT: Found a new bug, the game just won't connect you to a match. Yay. I'd say about a third of my losses are losses because objectives glitched out. At least two of the maps have game breaking glitches that make it so one team can't win at all. Then there's the random spawning under the map and dying. Then there's the inexplicable rubber-banding and lagging out, all when you have a solid connection and less than 20 ping. Oh yeah, and the cosmetic helmets that you grind for don't work on over half the maps (you're stuck in a generic helmet). Any one of these glitches by itself wouldn't be a big deal, but put together they make the game hard to enjoy.

That's a pity because I love medieval hack and slash games. The battles in Chivalry 2 are fun, graphics are good and the objectives are somewhat refreshing. If they could fix the bugs, this would be a very solid game. But right now it's hard to play and love when you lose match after match due to glitches (I'd say roughly a third of my losses are due to glitched objectives that simply couldn't be completed). Also, the 'Riposte' system sounds cool, but in practice it rarely works. I get hit by plenty of attacks that go straight through Riposte. It's either horribly dependent on ping or it's just not working as the tutorial says it should.

The massive, open-world nature of this game makes it worth buying all on its own. There are many different activities, missions and unlocks that you can do.

One of my favorite things is to level up the Rebel Support tree and then hang back, calling in mortars and sending rebel troops in to do the fighting while providing them with sniper overwatch. If you upgrade the mortar line, it's fairly close to being an operator, calling in airstrikes to support local forces.

The biggest downside to me is the fact that there's really only one meta at the highest difficulties. Silenced sniper rifle and silenced rifle/SMG. While other weapons are quite good, the stealth mechanics and reinforcement mechanics make it hard to run anything that's not silenced. I also wish that you could customize the kit and look of your AI operators. Still, those are relatively minor complaints.

I'd recommend buying this game. If you're not sure about it, then it's 100% worth getting if it goes on Steam Sale.

Before we start, I acknowledge that this game has been in Alpha forever. With that said, it is 100% worth the price of entry, especially when on Steam sale. Why?

1. The devs are still actively working on the game. Alpha 20 is massively expanding the map with new mechanics, quests and points of interest (locations to do quests). The map looks and feels fuller than it has ever felt.

2. The game is fun. Building bases, shooting zombies and exploring and scavenging are all a lot of fun. Finding a high tier gun makes you feel a real sense of accomplishment/luck.

3. Horde nights are fun. Getting swarmed by zombies is a blast and challenging (if you opt to take it in the open and not sit in a base). When playing with friends, it's even better.

There are definitely areas of improvement. There are still lag issues, especially when entering a big city. I usually drive into the city and then stop for a minute or two to let it render. Otherwise it gets really choppy (but bear in mind that I do NOT have an SSD, so my performance is always bad).

The crafting and building could use some refinement and more options. It's good enough to be fun and entertaining, but it also gets a bit linear. Once you get to a point with high tier shotguns and rifles, the game gets to be pretty easy. I'd like to see some more difficulty added in for the end game.

However, for an alpha game these are really pretty mild complaints. I'd say this game feels and plays more like a beta than an alpha and, if you enjoy zombie survival games/movies is 100% worth the time and money.

This is a change of my review. I had a negative review posted due to all the many issues New World had at launch. I stand by that review and everything that I said it in. I quit the game after a couple of weeks and wrote it off as a failed project. I came back the week before Thanksgiving 2022 because of some friends. How this game has changed.

First of all, the game is much less grindy. Questing is now the best way to earn experience, which encourages players to explore the revamped and much improved quest-line. The quests also give meaningful rewards, weapons and armor that you can often use (another great feature). Weapons feel more balanced as well. There are certainly meta weapons for PvP (looking at you Hammer), but that's almost always the case and hopefully Amazon will release enough patches to change the meta and keep things fresh.

There's now more end-game content. The grind to get to that content is much less intense and painful. They are adding mounts in a future update. In all, the game has done a dramatic 180 from its rocky start and turned into a really solid game. I'm not going to say it's a success...Amazon has of trust to win back from the gaming community...but it is a very solid game that will provide plenty of entertainment. I highly encourage others to give it a second chance like I did.

First of all, it is a Paradox game, so be prepared to spend 5-10x the game title on DLC. However, this is really the only complaint I have about Stellaris.

Stellaris is simply an amazing game that brings space to a grand-empire scale. Due to the randomly generated galaxies and the ability to create your own species, the game has near infinite replay-ability. Want to stomp on the toughest AI? Build a Ring World Machine Empire. Want to play something wacky and weird? Create a race of Hedonistic Furry Zealots (yes, you can do this!) and spread Furry Fetishism all over the galaxy. Fan of 40k? Create the Imperium of Man, an Eldar Craftworld or a Tyranid swarm...the choices are literally endless.

The customization doesn't end there either. You build your planets as you wish, assigning buildings and specialists to each planet as you will. You also get to design your own starships. While this is pretty basic, it is easy to learn and provides you with more than enough options to make your fleets truly your own.

The biggest downside to Stellaris is the thing I mentioned first. Paradox is well-known for creating expensive DLC for their games, some of it being of dubious quality. However, a note to those playing multiplayer is that only the host needs the DLC. That's something anyway.

CAVEAT: I have not played since the merge to one large server yesterday, will update once I have hours there.

With that said, I strongly recommend the game, though there are a few cons (which I will also lay out).

PROS

1. The Walkers are fun and relatively balanced. Big Walkers like the Falco require much more investment in terms of time and resources, but they are also rewarding, especially if you have the friends to crew them. On the other hand, if you just want to jump right into the game, or run a low-risk farming build, then you can easily build a Spider or a Dhingy in a few minutes. These Walkers obviously lack the combat potential, but each have their own upsides that give solo players a chance (Dhingys can boost quickly out of danger, Spiders can go up near vertical surfaces).

2. Skill-based combat. It doesn't take long to master the fighting enough to kill in-game NPC's. However, because the combat is skill-based, you can still spend hours perfecting your chambering, feinting, blocking, etc. It also means that gear isn't always king, a skilled player can still win a fight against a better geared but less skilled player.

3. Logging out Walkers (and thereby your gear) is awesome. I play a lot of hardcore survival games and the one downside with games like Conan or Life is Feudal is that you feel like you have to be on for every Raid Time or you risk losing everything. Last Oasis I can play, accumulate gear, then log it off so I can take a vacation without worrying about losing everything because I missed one hour of raid time.

CONS
1. The graphics are not the best. I have a decent gaming PC, draw distance/distance detail are pretty terrible. Characters also look pretty generic (which is a downside for those that really like to personalize their character). It's not game breaking (you can still make out enemies/NPC's/etc), but it isn't a graphically appealing game either.

2. Lag. In big battles, the game tended to lag pretty badly. It could be my computer, but I also play much more demanding games (DCS World, etc) on high settings and have noticeably fewer issues. I have heard that since the merge into a mega server, lag is worse. This is unfortunate because big battles are a lot of fun. It's not always laggy, but I had a couple of big fights (three clans at a time) where it was almost impossible to aim weapons due to lag spikes.

Overall, a very solid game. I would recommend playing with a group because that's how I have the most fun. However, the game can be played quite well solo. If you enjoy hardcore survival games, this one is just as good as Conan or Ark, though different in its own way.

The game lacks some of the complexity that Ark or Conan has. The variance in gear comes primarily from quality. However, this system provides crafting depth and the lack of complexity can be nice (you don't feel like you need to Alt-Tab to a Wiki every five minutes).

I was a die-hard Mass Effect fan. I've played the original games through at least a dozen times and I even played Andromeda through twice. But even then, paying almost $50.00 for a game that I already had seemed silly. Eventually I did and IT IS 100% WORTH IT!

First of all, ME1 got a complete overhaul. The new graphics look awesome. Obviously, it's still an old game, but the new graphics make it so that playing through isn't hours of living in an eye-sore. There are also a lot of small tweaks that really make the game better. The big one for me was the controls. No more having to counter-intuitively hit 'R' to throw a grenade. Going into cover is so much more fluid (still glitchy at time, but not nearly as bad). The new character models, world, and indeed everything look great. ME1 used to be the game that I'd avoid because of the weird controls and extremely dated graphics. It's now a pleasure to play.

I haven't ♥♥♥♥♥♥ through ME3 yet, but having all of the ME2 DLC is great. I'm not sure what was tweaked, but the AI on Insanity is a lot better than it was before. Enemies now act intelligently. While their weapons are very powerful, they aren't super-powered. Instead, you have to use real tactics to beat them and the accomplishment for doing so is great.

I'd highly recommend this game, even if you already own all the ME titles. The Legendary Edition makes the game so much more pleasing, streamlined, accessible and enjoyable. I am normally quite stingy with my gaming budget, but I haven't regretted a single penny on this game.

OK, so I had a negative review up and, coming back to the game now, it's time to update that. The devs have made a lot of progress.

1. Single-player is improved. There have been some big improvements (to many to mention), but a lot of things like the bracing mechanics just make battles more fun and tactical. There is still a long ways to go, but the work is there and the dev team is still obviously very active in improving the game.

2. Multiplayer is still rather stagnant. A big issue is the lack of population. However, the devs have promised some big changes, including new kits and skins that you can earn for your units, plus a ranking system. These small changes should make multiplayer a lot more fun, but it remains to be scene whether that will bring people back to it or not. I will certainly give it another shot once all this is implemented.

Overall, the game still feels very much like a work in progress, which is a bit disappointing for a game that was delayed for years and has since been released for over a year now. Frankly, I feel the game should have released with things like a ranking system in multiplayer and that might have kept the community alive.

However, I will give it an up-vote because, over that year plus of time, the devs have been consistently producing content, fixing things and delivering on their promises. This is something that many dev teams simply fail to do and it shows me that they are still very much committed to making Bannerlord into the game we all know that it can be.
