Early Access Review
Being a long-time tennis player and a big fan of the sport, I have long awaited a game like this and am very pleased with your work! I really enjoy playing this game and love coming back to it - it's perfect for any tennis lovers out there.

Here are just some of my suggestions for improvement to make it the perfect tennis simulator:
- Crashing: I have fairly decent hardware (listed at the bottom) and use "normal" settings, but the game seems to crash after long usage, which is pretty irritating. Not sure if this is a game or a hardware/VR issue.
- Backhand down-the-line (Arcade mode, right handed): I feel that this shot for some reason is a lot harder to execute in comparison with the forehand down-the-line. It always ends up going cross-court most of the time for some reason?
- Topspin/sidespin serves: I don't think you can actually add topspin or sidespin on your serves on either mode. Being able to detect this would be awesome.
- Stroke underspin/sidespin: If you try putting these types of spin on the ball it does not actually apply the intended effect on the ball when travelling through the air and on the bounce.
- Backhand slice (Simulation mode, right handed): I have tried doing this shot in simulation mode a lot of times, but the ball always ends up going into the net, no matter how much forward force I apply.
- Teleporting to the net and getting lobbed: The net-play in this is truly amazing and really feel like I am actually playing tennis at the net! However, if I teleport to the net and get lobbed, there is no way of going back to the baseline. This could be OP if implemented though, since AI lobs will be completely ineffective!
- AI lob: In real tennis, you would approach the net having hit a really good approach-shot that may leave your opponent at full-stretch. Yet, if I do this against the AI sometimes, they will just hit a lob with EASE (despite them definitely being at full-stretch) which I am unable to run back for. I feel this is rather unrealistic sometimes, but not to say that this is completely impossible from ever happening.
- Lobs against AI (Arcade mode): I don't think it is actually possible to lob the AI in Arcade mode?
- Taking the ball on the bounce/half-volleys: When at the net or on the baseline, adding the ability to do half-volleys and take the ball on the bounce would be really satisfying. High-risk, yet, rewarding if done correctly.
- Drive volleys.
- Serve/stroke speed detection improvement: This could be hard to improve, but I feel as though the force I apply isn't always reflected in the game. Same with the addition of any spin.
- Dropshots: Being able to slice under the ball and add underspin/sidespin to produce a dropshot would be great.
- "Easy" mode is not easy (in my opinion, but am getting better at!): I have put in a lot of hours into this game but find that the easiest difficulty is actually really difficult to win on. Even in the early rounds, the AI rarely makes any unforced errors; and these errors never seem to include the ball going long at your baseline or being hit into the net. The only errors the AI seems to make is the ball being hit out of the side-lines of the court and double faults.
- Online multiplayer with seasonal play, matching the real-life pro tennis tournaments and their surfaces.
- In-game currency (?): To add a more rewarding system, going far in tournaments should reward you with money that you can use to improve/customise your gear. Maybe making it so you can only play the highest-level tournaments (grand slams) when you have actually won the smaller tournaments and got a higher ranking, or just by making a certain amount of money (?).
- More commentary dialogue that actually matches the situation.
- More variety of grunts from the AI.
- More variety of "fault" and "out" voice calls.
- Option to be able to see more of your character's body, instead of just hands and a racket (footwork is always great to see in tennis!).
- Day/night sessions.
- Indoor tournaments.
- More serve net/let events: These do exist in the game but seem extremely rare. Perhaps making it just a bit more common.

I am aware the game is still in development, but just wanted to share some of my thoughts anyway. Keep up the good work! :)
