as a spoiled Rise player, starting Monster Hunter World for the first time was a rough experience. Unskippable cutscenes, mandatory collection of monster tracks, no Palamute for map traversal, the absence of fancy wirebug moves and wyvern riding for easy damage, but after awhile, I can finally appreciate the more grounded approach World had to offer:
Big, immersive, and interactive maps; vast ecologies of monsters and endemic life; The feeling of being intimidated by a difficult monsters and the joy of overcoming them; Siege/Raid boss hunt so all of your friends can join the hunt, and with a lobby that can accommodate up to 16 players, it's the perfect party game for the gang.
With 1000+ hours of recorded playtime + 100% achievement, what more can be said? for those who are hesitant to buy Monster Hunter World because it's not as new as Rise, you're missing out a lot, every Monster Hunter game are unique, each one offers a very different experience over the other and every single one is just as good.
