Good game, at least based on my experience with the demo (if you have the PC to run it.)

Long in-depth review of PERSONA 4 GOLDEN:

I started playing Persona 4 Golden immediately after finishing Persona 5 Royal on PS4, which in my honest opinion is one of the greatest and closest to perfect games I've ever played. P5R got a lot of praise from the fans as well as from critics (currently at 95/100 on metacritic).

Now, for P4G my expectations were somewhat high due to P5R's impression on me but I understand that this game originally came out in 2008 as Persona 4 on PS2. An enhanced version of the game Persona 4 Golden was released exclusively for Playstation Vita in 2012 which is like a soft remake of the game. The steam version is the best version of the game till date. So, I'll try to give my opinions as objectively as possible while also considering that it's a port of such an old game.

STORY -
In short, you as a high school transfer student form a group with other high school students trying to uncover a serial murder mystery in the town of Inaba in rural Japan. You meet a lot of people you become friends with (called social links) that help you get stronger in battles as you strengthen your bonds with them.
P4G starts off a little slow for my taste but stick to it, the plot of game gets you hooked and it only gets better and better.
On the surface, the story feels very cheerful and happy-go-lucky but there are twists, turns, serious, emotional, dark and shocking moments in the game.

CHARACTERS -
Characters are the biggest highlight of the game, P4G has a very colorful cast each with their own unique and strong personalities. Some characters might come off as cringy and awkward at first but as you spend more time with them and learn about their desires, life goals, weaknesses and insecurities, they'll start to grow on you. Characters are made self-aware and aren't meant to be perfect just like real people but are down-to-earth, kind and likable. Persona games have by far the best character development system in any game I've ever seen. By the end of the game you start to care about the characters.

GAMEPLAY -
Gameplay of P4G is a mix of role-playing, life sim, dungeon crawling and turn-based combat but with a twist.
You acquire Personas in this game to fight enemies, think Pokémon but more badass looking monsters. Most of them are mythological creatures and straight up Gods and deities from different cultural backgrounds with historically accurate lore and backstory. You go through procedurally generated dungeons, fight monsters (called shadows) and rescue the victims.

Gameplay of P4G and persona games in general have another aspect to it, you live your life as a high school student, attending classes, doing part-time jobs, studying, hanging out with friends, cooking and doing everyday stuff while managing time. All of it might sound intimidating and boring in theory but it's fun in action. The game progresses on day to day basis and you can choose whatever you want to do each day. Special events happen on specific days like festivals, vacations, hanging out with friends, main story events etc. things keep happening on regular basis which helps break the monotony.

TIP: Side Quests in P4G are a waste of time, stay away from them.

SOUND/MUSIC -
This is one of the most striking aspects of the entire Persona series from the get-go. The music in all Persona games is composed and directed by legendary "Shoji Meguro" which is a mix of original soundtracks and full-on songs with original compositions and lyrics. Each Persona game has soundtrack from a different genre which has a distinct feel to it and is tied to the narrative and overall theme of the game.
Persona 4 Golden has a mostly J-pop, J-rock style of soundtracks with a piano and rock guitar soundtracks with very cheerful and positive vibe to it. Soundtracks change the mood of the whole scenario ranging from happy to sad, sad to sombre, sombre to intense, intense to unsettling and from unsettling to even haunting. You'll definitely feel something upon hearing the music of P4G or any Persona game for that matter.
Although the soundtrack of P4G is too J-popsy for my taste but some of tracks like "Time to make history" (the one that plays in the Steam video) and "Results" theme are bangers in their own rights.
Persona 4 Golden music is not my favorite collection of OST out of the Persona series but it's still better and different from your usual generic RPG and video-game soundtracks.

VISUALS -
This part is kind of a mixed bag. Graphics of the game aren't very impressive even by 2008's standard, they're not terribly bad but kind of mediocre or slightly above average at best with low poly character models with simple animations which might be much more suitable for a handheld device (Nintendo Switch). However, there are some beautifully animated anime-quality cutscenes that plays during very important sections of the game but there aren't many of them.
The character drawings and portraits look great.

CONCLUSION -
Despite the minor flaws and now outdated graphics and mechanics, it's a heart touching, emotional journey that leaves strong and positive messages. The game teaches about the importance of family, friends, relationships, the bonds you that form strengthens you and your persona is the facade used to overcome life's hardships.

Persona 4 Golden is an unforgettable experience unlike anything else which is a must-play for anyone who is even remotely interested in JRPGs.

So far so good. It gives you a glimpse of what actually game will be like.
I played it on Intel Core i5-3550s CPU, 8gb 1600 MHz RAM and Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb graphics card and performance was excellent.
Those 30 minutes went by so fast.

- One of the best games I've ever played 9.5/10. (-0.5 points because developers didn't take the responsibility to patch this game.)
- One of the "Best Video Game Soundtrack ever" in my opinion 10/10.
- Don't wait for developers to fix this game.
- Install FAR patch and enjoy this one of a kind MASTERPIECE. (FAR patch drastically improves performance.)
EDIT: The game has been officially patched now so the unofficial FAR patch is not necessary anymore.
- Thank me later.
- Profit.
- Glory to Mankind.

Updated Review:
This is the first time Bandai Namco has ever released a Tekken game on PC, a huge thanks to them. I am a primarily a Street fighter fan and I have played many fighting games including almost all Street fighter titles, DOA 5 and 6, many Tekken games, all MvC, some KOF games and many others. I'll say this is by far "The Best" tekken game I've played. But since launch my perspective towards this game has changed. This is a hardcore fighting game, meaning you have to frequently play this game in order to improve. There are only so much things you can do in the game in single player mode. The main focus of the game is it's online which is not perfect, sometimes it works fine but the other times it works horribly.

I would still recommend Tekken 7 but not as much to a new player as the online players levels has gone up significantly since launch.

Buy it on sale if you want to play casually with friends.
And if you are a Tekken fan you probably already have this game.
