Incredibly fun. Feels exactly like the nostalgia and feel I tried to find for a long time. The music, the boss intro jingles, running to the right, finding secrets. A pretty true love letter with fantastic new punching and grappling mechanics. Grapple is life.

Just about to jump into hard mode!

Wow. This game came from nowhere and surprised me at every turn.

This game has no right being as good as it is. I went into the first few moments of the game with it holding your hand until it smoothly takes you off the rails, but when it does it feels like a proper adventure that you went on yourself.

It is just a casual, seemingly low-key game. The story is good enough, but the story telling is phenomenal, it's super sweet and enjoyable with misty-eyed moments and candid happy & joyous moments. The few little twists are fantastic and set up well that keeps me wanting to know more of the world and what will happen to little Pieberry.

The game feels as if I'm a bit past the halfway mark around 14 hours but I'm not sure, and the stat grind feels very satisfying.

Deceptively wonderful game.

It start simply enough and expands into a greater JRPG experience where your resources come from a farming and lifestyle oriented game loop.

I'd recommend playing blind, just experience the game. You won't miss anything, as everything can (eventually...) be returned to, even after beating the game.

The less you know about the mid and end game, the better!

Not bad for a Star Ocean game. My favorite Star Ocean game remains Till the End of Time. There are definitely issues with frame rate, even when playing on "prioritize framerate". I could get a better CPU, I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 3080Ti, so there's a large part of me that figures this is an optimization issue, but it's not a graphically intensive game. Keeping a stable 60fps has been hard.

People complaining about the game turning from open world to linear, this isn't an open world game. It is zone oriented, and the zones on the planet are definitely a bit large allowing for some exploration.

The exploration in these zones seems to become a bit less useful as you progress, but I find flying around to avoid obstacles and collect DUMA points to be a joy. They could have expanded upon the verticality a bit more in these zones. It helps you reach new platform in some areas, or disconnected aerial platforms in others.

There is a point in the game where it becomes cutscene heavy and I don't mind that. I enjoy the characters and I don't mind it taking some time to allow them to interact, or to sit back and enjoy what's going on. It is a JRPG after all.

The characters have charming qualities, a small few of them are a bit stale over time, but I find that to be a reflection of their demeanor and upbringing. It's definitely noticeable and something the game could improve upon. Most characters are fantastic and consistently develop as they make revelations.

Overall alright. It is severely annoying that it doesn't allow higher framerates and arbitrary screen resolutions. This would be beautiful in ultrawide or super ultrawide.

I think I have enough time in this game to say it\'s awesome.

I\'ve loved shmups since I was little. Besides jrpgs, they were what I played when I was young, and I feel a lot of vertical shmups lately have lost the arcade feel. They\'re inventive and offer new things, but nothing\'s brought me back to nostalgiaville like SGS has.

I originally backed this game when it was in the Kickstarter phase. In their video, they discussed wanting to make a shmup that brought the old-style feel into it. That\'s what sold me, and they delivered.

The music is by my favorite local band, Random Encounter, which is an extreme added bonus.

I would recommend this game to old and new shmup lovers, especially those that fell in love with vertical shmups like Fever SOS, Viper Phase 1, and Xevious.

This device works exactly as described. I've played almost all of my hours in fo4 with it. I've matched profiles with batch files in order to load non-steam games from emulators directly into the game, and the controller works perfectly for switching in and out if them.

I recommend this controller and will continue to use it.
