On paper, this game offers many interesting ideas and mechanics on playing an awakening elder god in a grand-strategy format.
In practice however, more so in its execution, it is terribly bloated, hard-to-learn, and just not fun to play.

There are many problems regarding this game but the highlights that ruined it for me are:
1. Advanced mechanics are not explained very well in-game, especially for new players. It promotes tedious trials and errors.
2. Piss-poor UI (an element most important for any strategy games, you can't even hit ESC to close some menus).
3. The overall 'feel' of the game, once you had tiredly gotten the hang of it, and the resulting culmination of its many mechanics and systems is very unfun and unsatisfying.

If you're looking for the ultimate god-strategy-game to roleplay or experience in, this is not it.

The very definition of 'not great, not terrible - but more terrible'.
This game aims to be a souls-like and immersive-sim at the same time, achieving a barely-mediocre result at both ends.
Managed to finish the game, but felt like such a slog having done so.

This is a somehow rare first-person rogue-like slasher that is equally as brutal as it is enjoyable.

Hard, unforgiving, but fair.

It'll help to select a color palette from the game's settings that would be easier on your eyes.

Atrocious balancing, you'll feel it right after the first level.
Not enough to here to keep me playing for more.

The subtlest 'woke' game of recent years.

Was expecting more. The Witcher 3 is way better.

Didn't feel like the world Mike Pondsmith envisioned. Everything here except the visuals felt... 'diluted'.

The positives:
- Well-thought-of combat system, much better than the previous Expeditions titles.
- Unique historical setting.
- Graphic is quite nice, ALTHOUGH the screenshots on its store page doesn't reflect the actual graphic for some reason?
- A lengthy and full-fledged role-playing experience.

The mixed:
- The game is quite lengthy (which should always be a plus for a CRPG) but had a 'rushed' feeling towards the end, and was also dragged on a bit too long.

The negatives:
- Some disconnects on its plot points (bad editing, plot-holes or just simply not enough time?).
- The over-world legion mechanic feels undercooked at times, especially the battles.
- You can't bring your main character into the legion missions (side-quests pertaining to the over-world system, which is a waste).

Ultimately, it achieves what it set out to do which they'll later state on the ending slides, and has sufficient focus to drive that point home.

To others:
Casual 4-player co-op horde shooter experience.

To those who dig deeper:
THE combat miner simulator.
