It is like Starlancer, privateer and Freelancer all rolled into one. The trading aspect is a little weak and the level cap is too easy to reach even within the first system. But the space combat is satisfying as is the space craft control even with M+K. There are some aspects that could be improved in addition to the trading system, like a little bit more info early in the game as to what is required to complete an area to 100%, multiple resource tracking on the map that i can think of right now. The continued developer support is also a big plus, with another expansion being shown.

Its Silent Hill 2 only better. Better Control, Visuals and audio. It tends to bug out esp. If it finds another save folder from another version (i.e. Non-steam). If you do have crashes right at the start, make sure to delete any preexisting saves located at "C:\Users\alita\AppData\Local\SilentHill2" (delete the silenthill2 folder). WARNING MAKE SURE that you havent actually played the steam verison otherwise you will lose your save games esp. if cloud saves are off.

PS: If your PC has enough oomph, you can get path tracing mod for extra visual goodness.

Its Indy with the trademark whip. Great Voice acting, excellent visual esp. if you have a GPU capable of running path-tracing rendering mode. There are some issues that persist after the first patch, most notably shimmer around certain textures with DLSS enabled incl DLSS + DLAA. Running TAA fixes this.
Game play is solid, So far I have zero complaints. Indy does what indy is told to do and with finesse. Over all a great game. Too bad the movie did badly (dial of destiny); this would've been a better movie for sure.

Its tomb raider, only better (for most parts). With patches the modern controls work throughout the 3 games with little to no caveats. With sound patches from pcgamingwiki, this is the version of the game to play on modern PCs

If you have a powerful (think 4080+) this game can look amazing. With lesser hardware it will still awe you (provided it does suppot ray tracing to any good effect)

2021 Gaming Review

This game plays just as well as it did when released in 2003. Of course it requires some quality of life fixes (e.g. wide screen fix) and has some good mods (Payne Evolution).
It is shorter than its predecessor and comparatively easier (that can be subjective though). But that does not hold it back being an excellent game in its own right. The gun-play oriented action, graphics, atmosphere and sound+ music all add up to create an excellent package that is more polished than its first installment

Note: This is the review for Single Player Campaign of the game

Liked:
Visuals -One of the best looking games (as I dont have an RTX card, can't say much about Ray Tracing tech games)
Story -Decent with a few surprises
RPG Elements -Jack's ability upgrades
Open World Elements -The game opens up to allow deeper exploration but this does not happen from the beginning of the game.
Side quests -Adds some longevity to the single player campaign

Did Not Like:
Pacing -The opening drags on for hours at a deliberately slow pace
Ending -Really is that the best that could have been done??

Conclusion:
I like Gear games and this, while maintaining the essence of Gear games (cover third person shooter) manages to inject new things (which have been done before, but not in a Gears game). The game is enjoyable, visually as well as gameplay wise except for the long arduous chapter 1. I would recommend holding on and bearing the crappy pace of the initial game as it really opens up into an exciting addition to the gears franchise

If you enjoy narrative rich games with minimal of everything else (shooting, puzzle solving etc) than this game is for you. These are the same guys that made the excellent To the Moon, though this is on a much smaller scale.
