An Isometric and cartoony spin on the new survival genre, this game is packed with a lot of fun, charm and heart. The art design is one of my favorites and easily embodies the dark comedy horror this game entail. If your looking for a game that you can sit down and play for a couple of hours this is an easy recommendation.

Its actually pretty good, it doesn't have execellent gameplay but if anything I would get it if you enjoyed the Ghostbusters movies. Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson make a return to do the voices, its essentially the third Ghostbusters.

In Max Payne 3 you play a fat, alcoholic, pill addicted, middle aged ex-cop turned security for a rich Brazilian family that is hung up in the past and can't forgive himself. Some how he manages to get shot thousands of times and mows down an army of gang members, psycho paramilitaries, and corrupt cops all in the name of justice. Justice is what keeps him going and despite his faults this one virtue that he holds onto is what keeps him on the morally good side of things. This is one of Rockstars greatest feats in cinematic story telling, you feel as though you are watching a movie but playing the actions scenes. The story plays out like a typical 70's vigilante story in the same vein as Death Wish or even Dirty Harry, It does nothing new or interesting but it still manages to captivate and entertain the same way a big Hollywood blockbuster does. The feel of the game is pretty dirty and gritty for example the settings really help set the tone for the games narrative. The dirty and gritty streets of New Jersey to the disgusting and gross favelas of Brazil really add a nice back drop and setting that compliment the games story and Max Paynes life. Game play wise, it's still the same Max Payne you know and love, bullet time is refined and works really well pitting you in situations that require its use. The game does have a cover mechanic which is nice because in the previous entries to the series you would get decimated by bullets and awkwardly have to hide behind walls. A problem I have is the game seems to try and introduce stealth mechanics, but in the end you end up shooting everyone. It's not that I don't like that they try, but it seems useless and unwarranted if its not going to be actually stealthy. When it comes to graphics Max Payne shines its brightest. The gap between games gives us a new look at our favorite cop with crisp, clean graphics that are realistic and extremely well done. I would recommend anyone who wants a good mindless shooter with a typical story that plays out like a big Hollywood blockbuster to play this game. Not that these qualities are bad, in fact they are actually strengths you just won't too much depth in the games story even though it does say stuff about modern police involvement and structure. Max Payne 3 is one of Rockstars best and another reason why they are giants in the gaming industry, I hope they continue to make Max Payne games in the future.

I would recommend this game to any one who enjoyed season one of The Walking Dead video game by the developer Telltale Games. Without going into spoilers the Wolf Among Us follows the story of Bigby Wolf or known to "Mundies" as the Big Bad Wolf is a "Fable" exiled to New York along with a bunch of other "Fables". Bigby is the sheriff of a little area in New York called the Woodlands. Now that you know a little back story let me get into what I loved about the Wolf Among Us. First the atmosphere and setting, to me, were fantastic. I love the 80s music and feel to the game and the use of cell shaded graphics work to this games advantage in that it fits with the gritty bleak realism that these fables face in the modern world. The character animations and design all look really well while keeping in line with the look of the comics. The Fables that were known as scary or frightening wear clothes and look like rough people (e.g. Bigby, Grendel, Beast) and their transformation into their real look is really well done. On the opposite end of the spectrum you have characters like Snow White, and Beauty look nice and prim. The game play holds up well, its exactly like the Walking Deads but the choices, actions, and the investigation sections make it feel much different. The story I will say does have its ups and downs especially the 4th episode really slags behind the rest (it easily picks back up by episode Five) and I will also say that the story moves much slower than other Telltale games. That said I did enjoy the story more than The Walking Dead, but that's a matter of personal opinion and you should really decide for yourself. What I like most about the story is that it puts these Fables in a modern context that's easy to understand, its like a modern day Grimm brothers fairy tale but with drugs, prostitution, money laundering mixed with witch craft, monsters, and damsels in the distress set in a violent, gritty 80s New York. Personally I love this game but I would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed The Walking Dead or any Telltale game for that matter and I do hope they do a season two.
