Have you ever noticed how scary dogs are? I mean we all love them but there nasty little predators at the end of the day just like us. This game taught me to fear pack tactics, a glowing review. Realizing I just have an unfair advantage versus dogs is nice, until I ♥♥♥♥ up and one snaps my neck. Dogs are nightmares, I just want some clothes you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ prick game! I love you.

From a price per hour perspective it's probably worth it, but a notable step down from HZD. Probably worth it if you enjoy open world collect-a-thons, but pretty disappointing from both a story and writing perspective. The combat is a notable step up in some ways but a step down in others. The skill tree is lackluster and could have been streamlined. One of the few times I've wanted a neutral review for a game. Buy it on sale. I didn't finish it.

Fantastic game

There's a mob in this game that punches you in the face with their balls. You'd never know it if you don't read the flavor text of the random loot you pickup. It's pretty alright.

In what world could the Chief of Police not request surveillance of his home to prevent mafia assassinations, especially when he's being actively threatened by them. Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ storytelling, I understand the point is to force the player into being a corrupt cop, but jesus christ a bit of warning before effectively corrupting the save file would be appreciated.

This is an amazing game, or at least will be when its done. Has pretty incredible visuals, sound design and combat, while simultaneously providing a fairly interesting "life sim" type experience (IE: I drank sometimes because it mechanically improves morale, and sometimes because my dude had just been through hell and probably deserved it.) The development progress is slow for early access, but whats there is really good, and given that the developers are from two nations tragically at war currently, I think the relatively slow pace of updates is justified. Check out the demo and see if its for you, and at the bare minimum look up the two "Hellbent" tracks on YouTube, because they're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fire.

A very pretty game, and initially interesting, but blows its load early and grinds to a halt towards the end. Pretty disappointing for an already short RPG, even at its price point. Combat = Mouse Forward + Left Click -> Back Dodge (on the highest difficulty) all game, skills are literally just weaker than auto attacks and on a 30-60 second cool-down, gear is extremely scarce while offering little utility to justify its rarity, and the skill-tree is limited and uninspired. Professions are poorly implemented and require significant grinding to get to a useful level, and the game generally suffers from its lack of modern QOL (no inventory sorting, poor interface UX, no stat comparisons on equipment, etc). Generally just a subpar game overall, though for a devs debut it could've been worse. I regret spending as much time with it as I did.

One of the top reviews for this game mentions the Inquisition. I never encountered them on my play-through, which is a testament to this games scope. A beautiful, emotional experience. Well worth the asking price.
