This is an excellent RPG. It is semi-casual, and somewhat cozy, but has a bunch of well built systems, a way better story than I was expecting, and several unique ideas I've never seen in other RPGs. Graphics are great, there's a lot of content, there are lots of rewards for exploring, a wide variety of magic, crafting... the only negative thing I could say about this game is that there is no english voice acting so you have to do a lot of reading unless you're fluent in japanese or korean. the voice acting is very good though, I just couldn't understand any of it, hah.

if you like unique stylized games with lots of blood and confusing plots, this is the best there is.

This is an old school style beat 'em up with modern visuals. This game is pretty tough, but it's very fun when you get the hang of it. If you like beat 'em ups, this is one of the best I've played in a long time and that's pretty much all there is to it. If you're looking for a deep story though, this is not the game for you.

I ultimately feel very neutral about this game. The world is absolutely enormous and stunning to look at. It feels like it should be full of all sorts of awesome stuff to discover, and that ultimately kept me playing for way longer than I expected, but the reality is there's barely anything actually in this world and you will move through it very, very slowly.

The combat mostly takes place from vehicles that you can customize and upgrade, which sounds great, and would be great if the AI wasn't incredibly basic and everything didn't die in the first half second of every encounter. There are a few higher powered enemies to be encountered, but they somehow end up still being boring and slightly more tedious due to a lack of depth. There is some hand to hand combat as well, but everything still dies in just a few hits leaving you feeling very unfulfilled.

Hands down though, the absolute worst part of this game is the character chatter. Every 15 seconds the characters feel compelled to talk among themselves, but they only know how to have like 6 conversations so you hear the same exact thing over, and over, sometimes back to back. 30 hours into the game and they're still saying things that make it seem like we just started our adventure. If I hadn't paid so much for the game this would have ruined it in the first 30 minutes.

This world and these characters could be something really great, and I kept hoping this game would become what my brain was dreaming it could be, but it just doesn't ever get there.

this game is so fun it's absurd.

edit: there are some stupid hard challenges that show up, and a few levels feel kinda broken in their design. still fun, just a bit frustrating at times.

This is the best driving game I've ever played, and the largest open world I've ever seen. The driving is a blend of simulation and arcade style, just the right mix to be fun and challenging. The game doesn't care if you drive your Zonda through fences, trees, or across a river, it just keeps rewarding you and cheering you on. It's even fun to just put on some music, and drive a hatchback at normal speeds across the world. Not to mention there's seemingly thousands of tasks to complete, and almost a thousand cars to acquire. I'm 30 hours in but it's going to take a lot more to see this whole game. 10/10 great value, excellent driving.

I finally beat this game after starting it when it first came out on the original Xbox and it was a pretty good time. It has some control choices that are a bit frustrating, and the achievements are broken in ways that make them annoying to unlock, and lastly it had a few short parts of the game that were just frustrating instead of fun. That's all the negatives though. The game looks great, and the world is very unique. If it wasn't for the broken achievements and control issues I would play through it again in the heartbeat. I give it a 7/10. More of a 9/10 if they ever patch these problems.

Got addicted to this game over the weekend and would definitely recommend it, unless you don't have the time available to get addicted to something, ha. There is a huge open world to explore in this game, and you are basically equipped with a vacuum that allows you to store only a few things at a time. You can suck stuff up from the world, and take it back to your ranch where you can use that stuff to farm, raise slimes, and make money. On the surface, very simple, but the further you go, the more you start to realize there is to it and that's where the addictive aspects come in.

There are many ways to optimize your ranching, expand your ranch itself, collect extra bucks & items from a quest system, wander in to dangerous territories with hostile slimes, unlock shortcuts, and even craft stuff. While you could probably explore the whole world on the surface in a fairly short amount of time (still thinking like 10-12 hours), to 100% this game is a huge undertaking. Don't be fooled by the cutesy look, there's a lot of solid gameplay to be found here, and a lot of stuff to do no matter what age you are.

Loved this game on xbox 360 (although it had some terrible load times), and I love replaying it on PC (where it has much much improved load times). If you are new to fallout, you can expect a huge, post apocalyptic world full of mutants, raiders, and other strange characters to both meet and battle. It's not really a first person shooter, even though it looks like one, but more of an RPG that has a first person view. You do get to fire a lot of different types of weapons (revolvers, laser pistols, rifles, grenade launchers, shotguns, and so on), and you get to repair and maintain them, but your stats with those weapons determines more than just your ability to aim. The pacing can be a bit slow at times since the world is so vast, but there are tons of places to discover if you wander off the main path. Tons of sidequests, tons of loot, and a good amount of DLC too. If you played & enjoyed fallout 3, you can expect more of that goodness here. If this is your first fallout game, I think that it's a great one to get introduced to the series. I forsee myself playing this for many more years to come still.

Early Access Review
There are a lot of great things I like about this game, although it's also pretty boring depending on what you're looking for. It's a very casual, almost "clicker game", farming game. On the plus side, there are a ton of crops, flowers, and trees to plant, along with animals to "raise". There is a huge sandbox-style farm you can unlock, and a lot of stuff you can decorate it with (walkways, benches, lamps, etc). There is also a light quest system to encourage you to grow crops with some purpose. It's also a pretty good looking game.

On the flipside, most of the game is clicking & waiting, so if you're in the mood to interact more then it's going to be a bit boring. There really is no story, or characters wandering around; even the animals just basically sit in place and produce goods every few hours. This is definitely not a Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley style game.

I'm often weary about early access games, but the developers are adding a lot of content & bug fixes regularly. There is definitely a lot more value in this game already compared to when I first purchased it. I would like to see the quest system become more interesting, but as far as casual farming games go this one has the most content of any I've ever played, and I'll be continuing to sink hours in to it for awhile.

I should also note that if you have friends playing, you can help out each others' farms. You can also open your farm up to strangers I believe, but I haven't really gotten in to any of this myself.
