At first, I thought this MMORPG had potential, but the time has come to lay my foolish ambitions to rest.

Why i thought that?
The MMO experience begins and ends with world events where players compete to kill mobs. At some point, the world felt alive, with players roaming around, minding their own business, and occasionally coming together for these events.

The Problems
Technical Issues
Movement and Collision Desyncs: These occur so frequently that playing starts to feel frustrating, leading to what I can only describe as "brain lag".
Cast lag: Abilities have excessively long global cooldowns, compounded by cast times or lag. On 150ms ping, applying just two buffs can take 2–3 seconds. Buffing mid-combo? Forget it. You have to stop entirely, which feels inconsistent and clunky.
Vertical Movement: Grappling hooks are stationary, awkward to use, and highly inconsistent.
Flying and Swimming: "Flying" is really just gliding, while "swimming" lacks depth - there’s no option to dive underwater.

Balance issues
Reliance on RNG: Core gameplay mechanics revolve around chance - hit rates, evasion rates, damage rolls, and critical rates. This system doesn’t work well with cooldown - based abilities. Losing a critical damage ability to evasion is frustrating, especially when it’s a single-damage instance rather than multiple smaller hits that average out.

Hilarious CC times: Players can be stun-locked for 6 or more seconds using a single button. Player can have multiple such buttons. If you have enough hit rate, you will stun lock everyone if player you hit have not invested in gear countering your play style.

Progression issues
Guild Gatekeeping: Guilds block access to progression by camping at entrances to PvP areas. This wouldn't be as bad if there were multiple entrances or if PvP offered a balanced way for all players to compete.
Dungeon Looting:
- Gaining mid-game or Best-in-Slot (BiS) gear is limited to three attempts per day, with abysmal drop rates of 2%–4%.
- Players can’t trade or even roll items within dungeons.
Boss Reward-Contribution Lock: To get boss loot, you must contribute enough damage to qualify for rewards. If you lack the gear to do so, you’re stuck waiting for a 0.01% chance drop from boss loot boxes.
Pay-to-Win Battle Passes: Both free and paid battle passes exist, but the paid version maximizes value. On top of that, a "Premium" leveling pass further increases your rewards.
GearScore difference: Everywhere you go, if there is a player with more gear than you, you can't progress further. It's doesn't matter if you happen to understand movement, abilities, timing better than this player. You simply can not do anything as it is game of stats. System doesn't contribute in what so-called gear-score matching to allow players with similar GS rating to compete.

Economics issues
Auction House with Real Money value: Real Money purchases allow P2W players to skip progression entirely by buying BiS gear and traits, creating a massive gap between F2P and P2W players which further results in a progression lock.
Purple Gear Economy: The in-game economy revolves around selling purple gear for donation currency. While F2P players can theoretically participate, this requires extreme luck - without it, they’re locked out of the economy.

Overall
Whales dominate the game, both figuratively and literally - there’s even a massive flying whale that occasionally drifts across the world, almost mocking the situation.
While the game is marketed as free-to-play, it’s clear the model is designed to EXPLOIT low-gear-score F2P players by pitting them against the highest-gear-score P2W players.
Implementing a system that rewards skill and time spent improving as a player (not just grinding for damage and defense stats) would benefit the game.
In summary, while the game world might feel alive, its technically an immature action rpg, its systems are anything but definitely not fair or rewarding.

Master Duel is a Free2Pay konami moment
Here i am not gonna talk about Yugioh balance, rules, etc.
Only about this particular Yugioh related product

🟢 What's good?
Music is extremely dynamic and catchy
Sounds and Effects are good
* Some cards have an animation of appearing which looks highly detailed
Helpful tutorials
First deck is easy to obtain
* Player can build his own first deck by playing solo (pve) mode and completing tasks for the first time which reward with enough currency to buy card packs
Affordable starter decks that usually contain useful cards for the future use
Card crafting system. Player can exchange 3 unwanted cards for any 1 card of the same rarity

🔴 What's bad?
Graphics and user interface are outdated
The design of cards doesn't fit the game
Legacy cards that looks extremely poorly are not updated
PVE scenarios are static images with minimal text and rare appearance of sound
Lack of player interaction. There is no global or local chats. There is no in-game reactions
Card effect activation is not polished
* Player can not cancel unwanted use of effect (that doesn't even affect a game)
* Player can not properly configure when he wants the card effect to ask for activation (on turn change, on summon, on card draw, on effect trigger, etc.)

⛔ What's unacceptable?
Reward system is broken
* Player don't get what he deserves, it's worse than some grind mmo's out there
* Playing ranked duels and climbing to the top doesn't make sense, since you get less rewards
(Rank resets each month to a player's current rank minus one tier. Rewards from tiers lower can not be obtained)
* In a card game with 10.000 cards, there is no way to build new competitive deck consisting of 60 cards otherwise than playing everyday for months or paying hundreds of dollars
* There is no way for player to play with cards he don't have so he can not experiment without obtaining them first
* Player has to spend gems for staple (must have in any deck) cards. I think it would be reasonable to obtain them by doing certain challenges
No trade in a trading card game
* This game doesn't have a player driven economy
No player driven game modes with custom rules

🏁What's overall?
The experience of Yugioh is fun, the experience of Master duel is disappointing
I don't understand why such popular game treated so poorly.

If there will be another modern yugioh game someday, i will definitely give it a try. But not this one, especially in i'ts current state. Never.

"На создание этого ШЕДЕВРА ушло 12 лет" (с)
Многие говорят, что это клон АРКа и это несомненно так, 50% контента игры нагло скопировано (картинки, статы, звуки, предметы, и даже баги). Уважаемые разработчики, на что вы потратили 12 лет? На CTRL + C / CTRL + V ? Если так, то почему вы не назвали игру Ark and Light? Интересно, если бы так оно и было, сколько людей тогда писало, что это не клон арка.
Вторая половина контента, а именно RPG, сделана очень качественно: города, npc, монстры/животные, магия, экономика( хоть и супер сырая). Крайне надеюсь, что вскоре его будет больше.
Плюсы на данный момент:
1. Вышеперечисленный RPG-контент
2. Все.
Минусы:
1. Баги/лаги. Я понимаю, что это ранний доступ, но все же ради такой аудитории можно было исправить самые примитивные вещи, чтобы игра была хоть на какой то % играбельна. Приведу несколько примеров: Когда я был афк, на мой дом упал метеорит вместе с жнецами, они перебили всех животных и сломали стенку, через эту стенку позже зашли игроки и забрали весь лут. Чуть позже в попытке забрать свои вещи назад я понял, что убить афк игрока не так уж и просто, минуты 3 я махал топором и нанес около 30 урона, все потому что этот самый урон ВООБЩЕ НЕ НАНОСИТСЯ ( пинг сервера на тот момент был 90 и лагов с его стороны никаких не было). Спустя эти три минуты он заметил, что кто то пытается достучатся до его головы, развернулся и убил меня с 4 ударов пикой причем ни 1 эвейда урона не было. После всего этого желание играть (до фиксов) полностью пропало.
К тому же нельзя скрафтить некоторые предметы, по причине того, что они не появляются в крафте после изучения. (3 ранг Beast магии, 9 ранг Ближнего боя)
2. Система томления.
Лайфхак №1 Как томить виверну : 1. Застройте ее. 2. Выстрелите в нее 30 стрел из 40. 3. Смотрите за тем как она улетает. 4. Крафтите новые стрелы и повторите 2, 3 раза 5. Приступайте ко второму
Лайфхак №2 : 1. Позовите на помощь 2 людей, чтобы двое усыпляло, а третий замедлял. 2. Потратьте туеву хучу времени. 3. Забейте
Лайфхак №3 : 1. Случайно наткнитесь на виверну, которая застряла в текстуре. 2. Profit
3. Говорить о том, что игру криво перевели на английский, не говоря уже о русском, не стоит.
4. Рейд система: Металлическая постройка ломается металлическим инструментом. Хоть и существут башни для защиты, скрафтить их вы не успеете.
Итог: разбито лицо фейспалмами, вызванными попытками выехать на живой лошади из города ( стражники, по непонятной мне причине, нападают на лошадей, купленных там же )
После всех тех обещаний, что вы дали, мы видим этот ШЕДЕВР. Спасибо, что хотя бы цену не сделали, как у Конана.
Надеюсь, что все исправят ,как можно скорей, сделав игру более играбельной, а пока что минус.
