Product received for free

Alright, most of the negative comments I've seen are either related to skill issue or general hatred towards devs of free games trying to earn money for their work (i hate commies i hate commies i hate commies)
First and foremost, microtransactions implemented in this title are either cosmetic (battle pass) or they allow you to level up faster! The difference between this game and other products is that grind is equivalent to money toss. Sure, go on and spend literally hundreds or even thousands of dollars for one singular branch of ribbons (in this game you level up "professions related to fighting") or spend a few hours grinding it.
The second thing is the skill issue problem, it speaks for itself, to be honest.
The actual problems of this game are related to its old age and it is initially developed for web browsers (not the best graphics, goofy ahhhh physics)

Let's talk about the gameplay for a bit.
The given product is a combination of FPS and RTS games. New players will mostly experience the shooter part, therefore I'd like to focus on this matter first. The setting is WW2 and for simplification, there are only three factions, them being Germany, America, and the Soviets.
Germans get the most "modern" part of XXth century warfare, like for example assault rifles and quite an expensive tech
Americans are good with vehicles and anti-vehicle combat
Soviets excel at CQB
Unfortunately, all the new players are greeted with bolt-action rifles, which are damn great but require quite a lot of skill. Later on, you can play as paratroopers, recon, tank crewmen, or fighter pilots.

Let's get to the RTS side of things. Further into the game players unlock this little funny thing called "war mode", where all the battles are prepared by officers and generals - the leaders of the strategy game. All the spawns of equipment you get are dependent on resources high command is willing to toss at the battlefield and the chaos is just great.

Competition for this game is - of course - battlefield and cod, although is it a competition when it is so niche? Nah. Compared to the titles above h&g hits differently. I'd say it takes itself more realistically utilizing for example battles and skirmishes lasting sometimes even hours. I've had much more fun playing HnG than BF or CoD and it is my favorite online shooter (I've spent more time in it than in Overwatch of which I own preordered origins edition box lmao)

I think you should check the game by yourself, but for me, it's worth it! (especially since it's free actually)
