Arguably the best fallout in the franchise along with New Vegas. It built upon the shortcomings of Fallout 1 and expanded on it. More lore, locations, critters, weapons and other innovative features at the time. The game is somewhat difficult at the beginning but is very rewarding too. Lots of replay value with the character creation and branching stories. There are also some mods out there for the game. I would recommend installing Fallout 2 Restoration Project and if you are having a really hard time install the save file editor. Overall, great old game.
