I can agree on the rubber sides. Rubber on gaming mice is a terrible idea, but it all comes down to preference. Razer's speedflex cable is top tier, my viper mini comes with it. The Basilisk from Razer is probably better, I had owned one in the past, comparing the weight of these I didn't notice a difference despite the Basilisk being heavier, the Basilisk is perfect for people who want a smaller version of the g503 though. Everyone gave up on glorious mice because of common QC issues. It became a joke in some communities.

weight is part of it, the stock cable is a climbing rope, the stock feet are abysmal, rubber sides, unreliable buttons, etc.

razer and glorious g502 clones are better
