Yes but with large caveats.

The good:
Art direction is great, creating a compelling atmosphere for the game.
Health and ammo are resources to manage carefully, avoid combat when possible.
Late game weapons deal good damage.
Some puzzles, while simple, are interesting.

The bad:
You move slowly, making moving through large areas and backtracking frustrating.
Early game has large areas with nothing much to do in them.
Game progress is mostly linear but some levels are not, which can lead to backtracking.
Most weapons lack "punch" both in terms of how they feel and the damage that they do.
Enemies sometimes appear behind you from dead ends.
Most puzzles are overly simplistic and take too long to set up the components needed to solve them.

The ugly:
Autosave checkpoints only, can lead to repeating large sections of gameplay.
If body horror and gore are not your thing, definitely avoid this.

Starts out interesting with some good puzzles. Then it gets very unintuitive with a clue that you think relate to one puzzle actually relate to another. Had to look up the answer on the game forum, after spending too long "solving" the incorrect puzzle. Once I knew which puzzle I was supposed to be solving with the clue it was fine. After that it went back to interesting and good puzzles, until the very end. The final puzzle bugs and will not accept the correct answer. Assuming I had it wrong again I looked for the answer on the forums. The answer was what I thought it was, they mention the bug and how to get it to finally accept the correct answer.

TL;DR
15 minute game, took 1.5 hours. Trying to solve incorrect puzzle with obvious clue to that puzzle, then bug inputting solution to final puzzle.

Kinda, for specific use case. Stream game first and foremost. Runs take a long time but unless you are the captain you can come and go. Not idle enough to set and forget for long (unless you are a turtle on a shield station). Not a whole lot to do to keep paying attention, especially if the captain goes AFK between jumps. 5 minute? AFK timer for crew means when the captain is AFK, you still have to check and keep moving or get kicked.

TL;DR not engaging enough to take your full attention, not idle enough to ignore and something else.

Tentative yes with the new update. It has certainly made the majority of items easier to find and distinguish. Am enjoying it so far and the history is cool.

"Monster Train" meets "Slay the Spire", though lacking the polish of those games, it is free and interesting.

Interesting concepts:
3x2 grid for each side of the combat, units can move 1 space on their grid each turn. Top row of the grid melee attacks cannot hit the bottom row and vice versa. Positioning matters so that you can hit enemies and if you can, move out of the way of their attacks.
Elite units which can be upgraded multiple times and always start in battles until killed. Restored to full health even if killed at Rest sites.
3 different factions to unlock bonuses for (only one active, chosen before the run).
Higher difficulties start you with Curses (randomised pool of penalties/debuffs) for that run.

Lack of polish:
Bonuses and Trinkets may apply once per turn or battle but there is no way to see if they have already gone off.
Similarly they may trigger when you play x cards but there is no UI element to track how many you have played/how close you are.
These especially matters when you gain extra mana or draw more cards mid turn.
No way to see the upgrade of a card before trying to upgrade it.
No ability to switch to the map during combat, to see if there is a rest site near for example, and plan accordingly.
No in game list of enemies/items/cards encountered.
Minor UI issues.

Genesis No.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this. Although there are some impressive features. The gameplay is just not that
interesting and occasionally frustrating.

The majority of the game is like a cutscene where you have to hold down the play button. What the play button is changes depending on the scene. It might be a keyboard key such as w, a, s, d. Or a mouse button. Or moving the mouse a specific way. These are the worst as it can be difficult to work out what the mouse movement is supposed to be when it suddenly stops. Did you do something wrong or did the game stop registering it? The progression also tends to be very slow on these scenes; For example requiring you to draw a circle with your mouse for a few minutes when doing it a few times to show you understand should suffice.

The art style is very good and consistent throughout, as is the soundtrack. There are some interesting ideas of how to tell a story in there if you can put up with it. There are a few puzzle elements such as putting together creatures using various parts to achieve a goal, or dialling in a frequency pattern. They are unfortunately few and far between as they were the most enjoyable aspect for me.

Hopefully their next game will have more consistently compelling gameplay as there is a lot to like in this. It just feels like too much busy work getting to it.

Wonderful free Sokoban puzzler. Push several different types of blocks around with different properties. There is also different terrain which has effects on whether you can pass them and which blocks can enter and pass through them. Collect 7 animal spirits, each one offering a new traversal ability.

I found it quite linear as I could not solve the areas to reach the next animal before getting the previous animal and their ability. Eases you into the mechanics with a steady learning curve as new terrain, blocks, and traversal abilities are added.

Does not explain the controls or allow rebinding. Movement uses wasd or the arrow keys. There is an undo button you can click with the mouse and reset area in the escape menu if you find yourself stuck. There may be other controls which I did not bother looking for.

The left click basic attack starts off dealing 0 damage, so you have to use the right click special attack to kill anything. Levelling gives the option to increase the basic attack by 2 so you would have to level at least 5 times and get/take that option every time to be able to kill 1 basic enemy with a single hit. Why bother having it when the special attack shoots across the screen and one hits multiple enemies? Enemies come from all directions but you can only attack left or right with either the basic or special attack.

Alright apart from hiding cats and money behind moving trees, especially when they are on moving cars which drive behind buildings/trees so to notice them you have to be in the right place/right time or buy a hint.
